  1. you need a 13lb (not sure about kgs....) rad cap with good seals ie... not cracked and dry
  2. you guys should come run down here once in awhile. the 5 hour round trip on a wheeling day is what scares me off. stuff comes in waves. right now the tide may be out but itll return....
  3. i see no repairs on this thing. just a need for them. gitcher bunghole up here and check it out/drink beers also no dents in tailgate, just rust.
  4. 1) mark the center of the broken bolt. 2) lubricate with pb blaster or what have you. 3) drill a small pilot hole as deep as you can. 4) lubricate and step up drillbit size. 5) repeat as necassary eventually you will have removed enough material from the bolt that it no longer holds tension. ive had luck with this method. every once in a while reverse the drill and see if you can get it to spin out. Ill add that easy outs suck IMO, they tend to make things messier and less precise. they also have a habit of breaking off. if you screw up and bugger the threads in the heads just re-tap the holes. hth, RV
  5. generally, make a post in the thread youd like moved asking the "mods" to move it to the appropriate forum. sounds like a fun project. welcome
  6. What would make a D/R 5 spd pop into 4wd when turning left??? Im postulating the lift has something to do with it. What say ye folks?
  7. I will add that when utilizing strappage of any type to put a twist in the strap anywhere it flaps in the wind. if you dont, you get huge vibrations from the strap acting like a parachute rather than, say, a spoiler. The strap then wears and tears on the edge of whatever you wrapped it around.
  8. same symptoms as half the hondas have around here
  9. heres some decent reading I came across http://ecomodder.com/forum/
  10. the lack of change you felt when applying the brakes could be attributed to the brakes not being attached to the wheel cylinder and thus, not moving
  11. seriously somebody knows where this car came from........theres just too much reverse engineered alien technology under the hood for them to not be using the same cookbook (USMB). Come forth phantom....
  12. make that a full functioning, correctly installed fake wrx scoop
  13. i use seafoam through the gas tank every so often, this usually coincides with a treatment of the oil as well. I have noticed a difference but I will say that a 6 month old car should never need cleaned that early.
  14. the throttle body hoseclamp is tight on the plenum right?
  15. Im feeling optimistic about success here, my insouciance usually gets me through if I ask enough questions pertaining to the ramifications of the task at hand. School is over rated. I went through the whole thing "wasting" my time on things I felt I should be learning. So far it worked ok, however it would have been nice to have a curriculum based around my interests. But then again, if a frog had wings he wouldnt bump his rump roast when he hopped right?
  16. YAAAY nomenclature! impressive vernacular and vocabulary Miles. And woohoo for parts, one of these days. thanks
  17. Can I cut the rockers and jambs out of any gen 2 and use them on my 84 BRAT? side question, do we always capitalize BRAT or is that bad form?
