  1. if you can get to a sign shop ask to use some "rapid remover". let it sit for a minute and apply liberally. it turns the adhesive into a kind of snot like consistency. it can then be scraped off with a credit card or plastic razor blade (yes they exist, yes they are awesome). you then need to clean up the residue. if youre at the sign shop, use some application fluid. if they are tired of you asking for favors, use windex or the like. good luck rug RV
  2. where abouts are you located? im in parkland(near tacoma) and have spares for ea82 cars and time/garage space, should you find yourself in need.glad your car is alive, that TB stuff gets us all the first time (cuz we dont READ first:D) RV
  3. DUDE CLEAR YOUR PMS!!! cheers, Rob.

  4. well its either the rad or hgs. ive nursed hgs for 12 months and then boomski. huge.. do you get steam from the exhaust? id replace the rad 1) becaause its cheaper than hgs and wont do anything but good 2) if it is hgs, at least youll have a new rad when you do it. that said, i think your hg is going/gone. i even know which spot. guess how. anywho ihth, and good luck
  5. you know what they say, "if it aint broke, it is now"
  6. ya, i gotcha. i just figured the tires would be collateral damage. if the other two are boned, wouldnt you replace all 4 anyway?
  7. if 4wd is disengaged, how would towing it w two wheels hurt it? this IS a pt4wd car right? ya, so i know itll spin one diff and not spin/wear out the other. so what. it a l series, bunch of miles on it anyway right? that stuff pretty stout. me if need be. RV
  8. also AFAIK, the adjustable struts are at stock height for non adjustable struts when all the way "up". whiteys' are all the way down and ive got lotso room. ill get you some pics.
  9. whitey has adjustable front struts. hes an 86 gl wagon
  10. should i make it, im bringin a 2" lift single range loyale wag. what kind of "offroading are we talkin? i wanna hit trails, but id like to not do a field tear down. I guess what im saying is if its "walker rough" I probably should sit out. Not that any of this should in any way affect anyone else.
  11. or, swap the back wheels to the front so the front has nice rubber and tow that **************** backwards
  12. finally stopped rainin huh? lookin good hombre. get back to work. RV
  13. you could also puncture the pistons to push the bumper closer to flush. my brother did it w his scirocco. just remember to screw/bolt it in that position
  14. i wonder if late 80s maxima body kits would work. i say one at the jy the other day, shoulda busted out my tape measure
  15. you are correct. changing motors will not change your trans =). banana
  16. im good on struts then, and there is a resistor in the clocks that goes bad. only gl10/ turbo cars had adjustible headrests. they also have extra adjustments for the drivers seat
  17. grab the y pipe, the yards cut em up. how are the rear struts? (i need some lol). grab the 02 sensor and any other sensors you can come up with. snag the clock, then resolder it. does it have a high-rise center console? center caps. just a few ideas. RV
  18. i didnt. a quick looksee said they were compatible so i used the one from the lego. my old one was a aftermarket one anyway.
  19. see now, thats a cool idea. it occured to me after defending my 'flip the spare' idea that had i skills and a welder, ida been in your boat. let us see what you come up with, and see if you cant get it to act structurally as well. RV
  20. during garage clean out i took a break and did a GAS CAP MOD!!!! now my loyale tops out at 140 =). seriously tho, 1st gen lego gascap (unlooseable) on my lifted wagon. I love it when a silly idea works (thanx Sam). i had to persuade the top of the recessed area a little to allow it to fold in properly, but its good now.
  21. I didnt know if my mitsu wheels were gonna fit. so i took one over to a soob in the yard and took a long hard look at it and decided it would.Or i couldve knocked out a couple studs and really checked. that said, I can see where this method would be less useful if there were in fact, no subarus in the area the wheels are. ps 91 montero steelies work great http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z146/1992Roo/Mobile%20Uploads/12041995004.jpg RV
