  3. miles fox has a beautiful brown one. not sure if its a clone tho. RV
  4. if you need an auto go ej and 4eat. no adaptor plate needed. good time to 5 lug that thing too, or use fwd ej axles. the 4eat is a good trans.
  5. ya.... "like faces of death". or those vids they show you in drivers ed ("blood on the asphalt") RV
  6. you wont really be able to "overtighten" them. the tensioners will get em tight enough. what you need to dois get all the slack to the tensioner side of the belt, if im explaining it well enough. on the drivers side you need to get the belt as tight as possible on the bottom side of the cam gear and around to the top. this allows the slop to be tightened by the tensioner. if your spring is worn out too bad it wont be toght enough, but they usually break when that happens. hth RV
  7. look up duty c mod or grey wire mod or 50/50 mod (for 4eat of course). is usmb search doesnt help, try google. it usually brings up usmb threads anyway. hth RV
  8. how much? is it 2wd or 4wd? can we see pics??? and welcome to the board, RV
  9. i was having a stumbling problem with one of my ea82s. i had it timed right and everything hooked up how it shouldve been. i retensioned the timing belts and got all the slop out of them and its way happier now. hth RV

  13. hey Brian, I have a huge (12"x48") yellow "student driver" sticker and some other funny random crap sittin around. I get alot of that stuff, I work at a sign shop. pm me your addy if your interested and ill hook you up. RV
  14. on a 2" lift there is no need to extend steering linkage, nor do you need to drop your diff/engine xmember/trans mounts. anything bigger than 2" and you need to do those things. RV
  15. its about time i see a 2" lift w/o tabs in the back. mine slip on the pass side from time to time. it messes up my strut top. (i have a homebuilt lift, go figure). so.... how much for just some rears? is this price sticking around or just a special? i could prolly buy a whole kit when the man gives me back my taxes. RV
  16. well all I can say is that it was great to finally commit to going w the soob crew (let alone HP) and not waffle out or blow a hg. we had a great time in the mtns with you guys/gals. we even rescued a pretty stuck/sunk wrangler with my pos loyale. the guy promptly got it stuck again about 800 feet down the hill. pics to come. we cant wait to go again RV
  17. its all good buddy, we all started somewhere. and we all (myself waaaay included) have somewhere to go. let us know if we can help. RV
  18. ok man, welcome aboard. we are glad to have more enthusiasts in our midst, however most of the q's/threads you have can be searched for and answered. these questions get asked weekly and almost daily. furthermore if you are having issues with the search function (I have), try googling your q and a USMB thread usually comes up anyway. also you may want to just have one thread about your soob so that all of the questions can be addressed parralel one another instead of plugging up the new threads page. RV
  19. the 'bruise family will be there. hope that doesnt discourage anyone. will the permit office be open? ive tried to go there on weekends to get driving permits and it was closed. must be different this time of year...... RV
