  1. Very nice work there, I like big OBS's
  2. i have the same troybuilt 6.75 hp mower. good unit
  3. wow, who forgot such a specimen? dui perhaps???? wonder what happened, you dont get enkeis and pushbar on a hatchy by accident. somebody knows who this is. Good lookin out subaruist
  4. wd 40 is only good for door hinges and disty caps. not as a penetrant or any real lubricant. its a cleaner, not lube. PB blaster on the other hand is magnetic and pulls itself into spaces.
  5. heat it up with a hair dryer, a heat gun can be a little too unforgiving. get a putty knife under there after the adhesive gets soft
  6. A recent reduction in employment has made me reconsider the sign shop life. Id like to get into automotive diagnostics and electrical. It seems like those guys are always scarce, and its something that interests me. Im in the Tacoma area and I know a few of you are familiar with this and may be able to point me in a better direction than a blind web search Thanks, Rob
  7. check the weep hole on the water pump, as it can drip down to the Tbelt area from there. Also check the coolant hose that warms up the intake. I had a mystery thirsty EA82 and i finally found it by accident. all the coolant would evaporate off the top of the block and leave no evidence.
  8. nor did I. I ended up using this setup + 2" rear lift for a total of 4"
  9. i had a legacy wagon that was tboned by a f350. four occupants all ok. b pillar pushed in almost a foot
  10. i wouldnt run plastic wheels either. plastic fatigues where metal doesnt
  11. leave a note with your phone number and explain that you have cash in hand usually does the trick
  12. nice build platform you got there. *ea82t was not subarus first turbo engine though
  13. try pacific import auto (PIA) in tacoma. might help if you were a bit more specific. folks swap all kinds of stuff
  14. vague and restrained is far better than halfbaked wrong info. it also serves to promt newer users to search, and learn. that way we all grow. btw since this wasnt a "how do i build a lift kit" thread i didnt find it particularly helpful to clutter it with such.
  15. i used a strapwrench for piston rings. On ea series engines ive yet to need a hone or reamer of any kind. maybe a scotchbrite wipe down but when the crosshatching looks new after a quarter million miles....I wouldnt worry
  16. the angles youre quoting are for a gen3 vehicle. OP has a gen 2
  17. mk..... skank IS in alaska. he IS a good guy. many folks have offered to take up his slack and ill throw my hat in as well. I have spares of everything he owes you guys and i can help. feel free to pm me. Skank has helped me and many others just for the sake of doing so for years before most of us were even on here. And because of this several of us have stepped up to help. This isnt a federal case and theres clear resolution at hand....why dont we fix this and move on. No reason for all this extra drama. You guys want parts? just pay the shipping. sheesh, youd think he stole your lunch money or something. is it more important to get your parts or tear someone down? Before the flame train leaves the station I know its a huge, unnecessary PITA to pay and not receive more than excuses, ive been on both sides of that. consider that these are relatively cheap parts so the likelyhood of a dude tryin to get rich off "swindling" 15 dollar parts is less than the likelyhood of his story being pretty damn accurate. btw i have had zero contact w him as well so know this is independant and un solicited
