  1. Ill betcha he EJed that thing, or maybe a 3.6 h6. RV ok maybe not
  2. wow i must have missed something, i used a 1/2" bit on my steelies. i dont remember if i had to hog the hole or not. its snug, but it fits. also, i did the whole job with my craftsman 19.2v 3/8 drive by hand. wouldve been nice to have a drill press. RV
  3. are those honda badges on the upper section of the gate? perhaps this is a rally/moto x support vehicle/ enthusiast? RV
  4. just a thought, i had a simalar issue with my loyale wag. I had neglected to route me e-brake cable correctly upon re-instulation. check that thing. hth RV
  5. even if two completely different motors are happy at the same rpms, their respective characteristics in regards to mpg/hp/torque are not really compatible. or at least not as far as i can tell. the discrepancies compound when you start having multiple motors in one platform (ie stock gl vs ej swap) however, your idea on peak torque creating better mpg than peak hp i believe to be accurate. happy vets day, RV
  6. yes the slammed brat was already posted. however I, much like yourself am to lazy to go sifting thru to figure out which post. but ya it got posted. RV
  7. your panda wagon has a ej25 not a ea82 so the "efficiency band" if you wanna call it that, is going to be different even tho you have the same chassis/body. as far as the turbo tranny getting better mpgs..... i dunno RV
  8. good point VB, im using '91 mitsubishi (i know) montero wheels. the offset is real close to stock offset. RV
  9. im currently unable to get any pics up w/o a pc at home. you can search my posts/threads. my fenders are cut similar to One Eye's yellow wagon. I will say this tho, I cut my fenders before getting those tires. I origionally had 235/75/r15s and couldnt cut/beat enough to make them fit so all my info is potentially worthless. sorry about that. IMHO if you wanna go bigger and not cut fenders (your car rocks, my car is beat and ugly) i would go taller. others can help out. hth RV
  10. i have 28" firestone winterforce on my 91 loyale w/2" lift (205/75/r15). i still had to trim tho. RV
  11. my 86 wagon runs about 1/2 way all day but my 91 loyale wagon runs at about 1/4 all day (except for when the hgs were going on the old motor) RV
  12. way to go man! i like the oregon/washington liscence plate combo. RV
  13. Also here on the "drift brat". I hear that converting to rwd on the stock 4wd gearbox is bad though. this car is called "rust in the wind" its running nissan rearend (350z i think) and 13b mazda motor
  14. my 86 gl wag does well at highway speeds. check your alignment. my 91 loyale sucks on the freeway because i lifted it and have beat it, it needs new suspension and alignment. there will be a difference between your 86 and 99 no matter what you do but you can install a rear swaybar off a turbo car. hope this helps RV
  15. i would also enjoy a pair of cornerlights. i plan to paint them orange so they dont have to be perfect. thanx, RV
  16. i did a brake job on my sis in law, there wasnt even metal backing from the pads left. she didnt understand why the car wouldnt stop. afterall, itd stopped squeaking months ago:D check your brakes people. Juan, glad youre ok RV
  17. i had a hole in one of my covers that let crap in, but not out. as a result i got to learn how to do t-belts. on christmas morning. before a six hour drive. in my climate (pnw) i havent seen significant icing of anything under the hood except for when i didnt have enough antifreeze in my water. (oops) moral: no covers. stuff spins off instead of accumulating. RV
  18. rumblee has some vent wisors on his turbo wagon. he said they were on there when he bought the car. hard to think someone ordered em from japan, could be wrong tho. this sounds like a job for: trial and error man! RV however, covering the rear windows will take some engineering, the ones in Robs link/pic were on a touring wag as well (if that matters)
  19. i used 6X140 wheels off a 91 mitsubishi montero and the offset is perfect. i can tuck all four. the are 15" and dont stick out like a lot of chevy/yota wheels that ive seen. bear in mind not all yota wheels will stick out. RV
  20. Paul, im sure those are the ones i need. you need fenders? pm me im pretty sure i can come up w some. thanx man, RV
  21. i need the ones that look like hex nuts on the top. how much???!!! thanx a ton, RV
  22. still patiently waiting for the centercaps for my magnesium ea81 12 spokes. thanx man. RV
  23. sounds like a synchro is going out. most of my soobs have had that problem. 2nd gear here too RV
  24. i know you dont need to hear it, but if its cheaper or at least easier to find why not go ej? you know you can carb those right? my 86 wagon is heading in that direction. SJR's wheeler still has all the ea wiring and a ej w/ no computer= easy (or easier anyway). sorry to you on this, just a suggestion. good luck, hope it works out RV
