  1. ok i ordered my bevel. Thanx Scott. on my rims the area where the holes are isnt completely flat. in fact its convex around the ring, i assume i can file/grind that flat and be ok. please correct me if i am wrong or going overboard. this is my first mod of his nature so theres a lot i dont know yet and i just wanna be cautious. again thank you to everybody RV
  2. got new pics from whitey's big test: an 800 mi round trip to the OR coast w/ a full load and our "subaru" (read: i work at a sign shop so everything is subaru) cargo rack
  3. well thats something to ponder.......ill be going to harbor freight today to get the bevel. if that doesnt work out i should still be able to run the upside-down lugs right? RV
  4. scott (SJR) said to use 60 degree bevel on the re-drilled holes. i like how the tires dont stick way out
  5. well if you wanna get technical he COULD slot the bolts 90* apart and use a phillips:drunk: RV
  6. thanks scott, i went to 3 different places today and didnt see one. do you have any idea where i could find one? RV PS these tires are HUGE i spent the day basically wrecking the front end(no big, it had a couple issues anyway). the cool thing is the wheels dont have a large offset so the tires dont stick way out of my now bashed fenders. RV
  7. my lug nuts dont have holes in thew top:mad: if i could pull that off do you think it would be safe?
  8. call my cell ill be in the garage "adjusting" the loyale to take the wheels (at least i can do that 253 three zero 1 seven four 0 two Rob V
  9. i searched and found two solutions to countersinking re-drilled holes in my newly purchased wheels. the first solution was use a die grinder. i dont have access to one. on another thread i read and saw pics of a lug nut with 3 slots ground across the acorn. they then used the lug nut to create a home for its brothers. I bought a countersink bit today and it sucks. anybody in pierce co WA have a grinder and some time today? goodies on me RV
  10. they were an option and i have no idea where to get a set ive never seen another subie with them. the car also came with 4 mudflaps and a ski rack($800 option) from the dealer. its wierd, im putting the big wheels on "my car (91 loyale 2" lift)" and i still love driving the gl. RV
  11. im hopin to have it done this weekend. hopefully i can fall asleep soon, its like subie christmas for me:rolleyes: ive gotta find a die grinder or put slots in a lugnut so i can wedge out the holes. white steelies w beauty rings zzz:drunk:

  18. a loyale is gonna be alot like your GL only slightly quicker (im pretty sure an 85 is carbed and a 90 is spfi) other than that itll be a single range 4wd most likely. depending on mileage not a bad choice. RV
  19. thank you:banana: i love them too!! i have every receipt from orig purchase to 2008, orig brochure, etc..... that car rocks RV
