  7. anybody know how to get etching (tree sap holes) out of a windshield?? my 86 has a bunch of them
  8. did you rotate the motor 360 degrees before putting on the second timing belt??? even if you did its easy to mis-align these things RV

  14. all in all, TBs are pretty simple. when you remove the cover, leave them off. perminantly. it makes a 2 hr job into a 30 min job next time

  16. well the JY parts will never last as long as new ones but it takes me less than an hour to do the swap and imo they last long enough to be worth it( your standards may vary). ya cant beat 12 bucks. like i said im broke. always. RV
  17. at my local JY (tacoma pull a part) a spindle runs 11.50 if they have the part. take out the bolts holding the spindle to the strut. remove all ball joint nuts/bolts. remove axle nut assy. if necassary remove a arm bolt. remove stand on a arm to get the strut and spindle separated. these instructions are NOT in order of operations, they are in the random order i remember things. hope this helps RV
  18. usually when i have to do a WB i just swap out the whole spindle, bearing and all. im that broke. always. it might not be the smartest or best way to fix things but its cheap and doable with the tools i already have. .02 RV
