  2. probably frowned upon by the pros but whenever i need a pin for a cv i just knock it out of a junkyard car and put it in my pocket. i even used a long, skinny nut/bolt one time:-\ RV
  3. welcome home jeremy, youll get your subie. be paitient. read alot. on a different topic i saw you had a 4x4 tercel. if you have the pitch/yaw gauges still id be interested in purchasing them. i saw another soob that had them recently and now i really want some. thanx man, and again, welcome. RV
  4. hey, do you have the pitch/yaw gauges from your tercel (if it had them)? if so ill buy them off you

  5. oh great. another guy on the board named Rob. congrats, youre # 1000!!! youve won: a rusty brat to restore!!! welcome home Rob. RV
  6. well...............................if you want to make it any faster do an ej swap. youll get nowhere faster with the ea82 that in there without spending more money than it would take to just swap the thing. as far as susp. goes get the trailing arms and rear sway bar from a turbo car. while youre at it snag the rear disc brakes as well. thats a start. RV
  7. oh i dunno, i woulda just stacked up beercans until the wheels were high enough off the ground. then instead of changing the WB id change the spindle so i didnt need to press anything, which can be dangerous after drinking enough beer to jack up a car:drunk: RV
  8. holy crap you guys took the little half-truck? howd that do? i wanna se some pics of THAT. RV
  9. one of my dads first roos was a 82 wag same color
  10. zip ties?? ive heard thatll work worm clamps do seem a better choice tho RV
  11. ive been dreaming of a rotary/rwd swap on a little car ever since my festiva. my first car was a 81 glf. i can only imagine how sweet it would have been to rotarify that thing. til now. godspeed isaac. RV
  12. oh ok, i think i misunderstood you, i thought you were gonna trade your no-runner lego for the beater. tried that. once. RV
  13. no. if the body is that bad, the drivetrain probably isnt much better. pick up a 3-500 dollar beater to drive and save money to fix your lego. RV
  14. dude!!! THREE FORKS????!!!!! MONTANA???? my familys homestead is out there. ever been by pyfer road? thats the ranch. thats where that guy and his son murdered that lady last year. it happened in my great gma's old place on the property. anyhoo, say 'sup to the cattle for me. RV
  15. http://i219.photobucket.com/albums/cc201/naomirford/roos/DSC01799.jpg ive never seen the chrome trim on another soob
  16. in defense of old kia products i would like to say that the only thing i have driven as indestructable as my roo was a fords festiva/kia pride/mazda 121 (all the same car). i did things to that car that would destroy even a subaru (15-20,000 miles w/o oil change, rally, drifting etc. as far as the new ones go i have no idea, all new cars are junk as far as im concerned. just wanted to stick up for the lil festy and its ilk. RV
  17. the one i have isnt as nice as the one in the pic. its gotten somewhat grainy. its attached with adhesive. not many ea81 coupe/sedans around so it might be a minute before i can measure. i will pull a length off it tomorrow and get back to ya. $10 plus shipping assuming you want it, and pending it survival after removing it from the trunk RV
  18. oh crap................. i thought we were talking about a 5 speed for some reason. autos are a different story entirely. take rear driveshaft off then tow RV
  19. most legacys ive seen are awd, no tow. loyales on the other hand are part time 4wd, meaning you can disengage the rear diff thus rendering them towable. make sure its in fwd (no "4wd" light) and youre fine man, tow that thing RV
  20. ^^^ i have the same spoiler on my parts car(88 gl10) its foam-rubber, wierd huh? anybody need one? pm me
  21. byaaaaah!! too bad ya aint up here in th peee enn dubya. theres about 3-4 a week on CL up'n these here parts. welcome aboard RV
  22. a small note you probably already know about: you said the voltage was jumpy? sube alts have a built in voltage regulator, that could have gone bad. i just bought my wife an absolute jem of a 86 wag but had a similar issue(tach was jumping too). i put a spare alt on it tonight and it solved both problems. just a thought, nice sedan, i wanna lift both our soobs.
