  4. Where are you located? lets get together

  5. The Beast I Drive makes the best lift kit, but it's not cheap and not exactly bolt on. you still need to do a little bit of fab work to make it all come together.

$300 will get you 3"... which I think is gonna look pretty good :)

  6. I just picked up a awesome 83 Brat. Its a ea81 4 speed with 4l and 4h. What does gen 1 and gen 2 mean? Do I have a gen 1 or gen 2 and whats the differance? I have no owners manual. Thanks
  7. Hi Mr Brat,

I am new to USMB. I am looking to put a Body lift on my 83 Brat. I dont want to cut my wheelwells. I am looking for a 3" lift or maybe a 3"/4" kit. Do you know where I can find some pics of a 4" lift without cutting the wheelwells?

    Thanks much,

    Chris

  8. Hey Bill,

I have been looking long and hard for a good 3" lift kit for my 83 Brat with no luck. But another member of USMB told me you're the man. Can you please contact me at either cs9575@yahoo.com or 503-957-8820 when you get a chance?

    Thanks Tons!

    Talk to you then,

    Chris

  9. Hey Pooparoo,

I am new to this site but I seem to see you on this site pretty often. I just scored a Brat in awesome shape and want to put a lift on it but can.t find a 2" or 3" kit anywhere. I don't want to do any wheel well cutting. I am open to paying someone to install it also.

Do you know anyone in the Portland area that can help me out with this?

    Would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks tons,

    Chris

  10. Hey thanks, they are stock toyota 15 inch wheels.

  11. The best thread I know of for the 2", is now in the offroad mods section of the USRM. It is cheap and easy, but be prepared for the cost of new axles too, if they are old/original. Mine were with the SJR 4/3" lift, and even 1" over stock caused them to wear out pretty quick. Forget it if this is EA81.

  13. Hi Scooby,

I noticed in one of your posts you said a 2" lift is very easy and cheap. Well I am haveing no luck finding a kit or how to do this. I'm open to a 3" lift also. Can you send me any leads?

    Thanks much,

    Chris

  15. Hi there, I am also new to the Brat world. It looks like you and I are looking for the same thing. I want a 2" -3" lift. Have you hade any luck with this? I cannot find a kit anywhere. The only body lift kit I have found for a Brat is 4+". do you have any leads on a smaller lift?

    Thanks much,

    Chris
