  1. Finished up all the wiring this afternoon. All is good, except I keep blowing the fuse to the coil/fuel pump relay, so I haven't started it yet. I've traced down the issue to the coil/ignitor. I swapped a spare coil I had and the same issues keeps happening, I think I have the post coil connections mixed up, I'm going to look into wiring diagrams tomorrow at work, and then it should run!
  2. The seats didn't come in the 86. They will work, but the mounts for the headrest, as stated above, are different. I cut mounts off an older brat and welded them to my 86, and bolted my seats in so I can remove them if I need the extra space.
  3. Looks awesome, love the wheels on there!
  4. Getting close, I have to hook up power to a couple relays and wire the fuel pump, it should be almost ready to start. I need to get the correct thermostat, and an upper radiator hose as well, but I would love to hear this fire up in the next couple of days even for just a few seconds!
  5. I would, but I have plans for the 22T, I'm going to rebuild it, and put it in my nice 91 ss for it's performance build when the time comes, I may then put my good stock 22t in my brat, but I'm undecided for right now. This car is staying an ea81, I just like it in this car, i want to keep it somewhat old school. Today my friend Will and I got a lot done, he got the fuel pump in, and worked on the wiring some, as did I. I also got the manifold bolted down, all the fuel lines ran, new filter in, alternator back on. Basically just some wiring left, and then it should fire up! I gave up on a full wire tuck, it was just going to be too much cutting an moving things. I cleaned everything up, and it's much better than it was even stock, so for now I'm totally happy with that. And my wiring mess.
  6. Work on this has been pretty slow, because I have a lot going on, but I have gotten some work done in the last couple of weeks. Engine bay is painted, and I finished up my distributor yesterday. I've also started running all of the wiring harnesses, and reassembling the engine bay.
  7. Looking sweet. I really need to get mine up and running again!
  8. They are from the second-gen gt-b wagon (something we didn't get stateside) I have seen another set over on the bbs. They are 17's and apparently they are pretty rare here in the states. http://bbs.legacycentral.org/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=51701
  9. Love those wheels. Looks like it is in amazing shape!
  10. Got my brakes on last night, I think I need to re bleed them as the peddle feels a bit soft to me still. But over all I can tell they are a huge improvement, And the looks freaking sweet. I repainted that one bad caliper with a por15 caliper kit, the paint is a bit darker, but close enough for brakes. I need to order a sticker, and it should be looking great again. Fronts all mounted up Rear adaptors in place (took a while to grid them to fit....) And rear dust shields removed A couple of installed pics. We also took this down to WBM, and it was awesome, this was my second year going, car went great, and we had a ton of fun cruising down with some friends. Rolling shot!
  11. So if you are going to ship calipers that are painted, it would be really nice if the brake fluid was taken out of them first, the finish on one of them is ruined, and I need to get a new sticker for it.... (The box they came in also looked like it went through a post office war) The rest of them are in great shape. Now I just need to wait for ss lines, and the rear brake adaptors to come in.
  12. Thanks! Right now I'm focusing on upgrading the handling, stoping, and drivetrain, so when I do put power to it I won't have to upgrade anything else. The leak is my sunroof, I've been trying to get my old wagon's fi swap done so I can have a garage to pull the sunroof out. I've been following your 90 LS build over on bbs, looks pretty sweet!
  13. Four piston front calipers, and two piston rear calipers along with all the rotors and pads are on the way! I also got stainless lines front and rear, and kartboy caliper adaptors for the rear. All the parts should be here by next week. This should be a great upgrade!
  14. Finished rebuilding my 2002 RS to sell. Took me the last two weekends and a few late nights after work, but she's done now. Replaced: Engine Clutch Front perimeter frame Control arms/ball joints (warrantee from subaru) Timing belt and cogs Water pump All seals (including head gaskets) Struts x4 Front sway bar links & bushings Brakes x4 Buffed the paint Cleaned the nasty interior Removed bumper stickers from the P.O. Undercoated it Changed all the fluids LR wheel bearing, seals, hub bolt, and bushings I'm sure there's more I spent a lot of time on it...
  15. Well this is getting old. Next on my fix list for sure....
  16. Got my rear sway bar installed tonight, as the rear links I was missing came in yesterday! Went very well, the car is so rust free both of the giant bolts in the rear hubs came right out, along with all the other bolts. The car handles very well now, and is super enjoyable to drive. It is a bit stiffer, but not annoyingly so. However it seems to be rubbing more in the rear now for whatever reason. I need to order strut spacers this weekend, I'm just trying to figure out which rear mount my car has... For whatever reason photobucket will not let me upload more than just this photo of the front sway. So here it is for now. I'll add some more of the rear when I can. Now i just have to fixed the rubbing issues, and I also have to get some brakes, my rear pads are super thin.
  17. Got around to working on this some today. I can't let the legacy, beetle, and the rs I just picked up take all my time Anyway I added some loyale sheet metal to it today, and did a fair amount of welding deleting all of the non used holes in the engine bay. The section under the air box so it can get some air outside of the engine bay I also added a hole for the loyale window wash res. Drivers side air box (still need to make mounts for this, and the reservoir in place. From the other side (and yes I did fit the fender to make sure everything was going to clear) Where the old harness used to go. That's all for this weekend. Next weekend I hope to get everything sanded down, and maybe even painted!
  18. Got my momo hub adaptor in. Installed the wheel this afternoon. I have to say it is a bit smaller than I was expecting, but I think I'll grow to like it. I also got my rear sway bar mounts in, all I need now are the sway bars, and I also need to get my rear control arms off from my GT wagon parts car so I can mount them. I've also decided I don't like my boost gauge in its current location, I may make a gauge pod to replace the center dash vent, or below the radio, I like the dash vent idea, as I'd like it to be as visible as possible The gauge also has a peak and hold function, so I can see what my maximum boost has been.
  19. I can't make it this year, my ea81 is all apart, and I've spent a lot of my "play" money on getting my legacy back from Oregon and buying parts for it.
  20. My subaru obsession does sometimes get the best of me, but it was a great trip, both my dad and I had a great time. I did enjoy the green, our grass is still dead. This is the first warm week we have had so far this year ( we consider warm about 50* this time of year haha) Got some more parts in today! New momo wheel came in, master cylinder brace, and a boost gauge. I love ordering a lot of parts all at once. Swaybars were shipped today as well, those are what I'm waiting for the most. That and the momo hub so I can have the new wheel! Pics
  21. Today I de snorkused my car, some said it made more turbo noises, but I really didn't notice a difference. I made it from some threaded pipe, exhaust tubing, and some steel brake lines all welded together. came out pretty decent. I also got my whiteline endlinks in, and then realized I can't use them without swapping out the rear control arms, but I think I have a set so it shouldn't be a big deal. If not I can come up with a mount. I also got some new speakers in.
  22. It's not that them bumpers are hugely different, it's the fact that the 91's front end is a lot shorter, I think by almost 2" so there's a lot less space. I'' figure it out when the time comes. Tonight I got something in the mail for it! I've been waiting for these for a couple of weeks now. New (to me) jdm turn signals! I also hooked up the parking lights correctly for the edm's. Right now the lights I just got are not hooked up to anything, but I think I may turn them into turn signals, as that's what they would have been overseas. I also picked up a vf34, and a few other things for it this weekend. The rack bushings just showed up too, so tomorrow I'll be putting those in!
  23. Was his pre or post face lift? The preface lifts are a bit harder to add one as there is not as much room, I'll have to take some measurements and see what works best for it. If done well they can look very nice. This is basically what I'm going for.
  24. Exactly what bratman said, our legacy turbos never had them. It could use one for sure. I don't know which way I'll go, I'm thinking front mount right now, due to the other engine modifications I have planed. I have another 2.2t I'll be pulling out of my parts car to rebuild with all new internals at some point, so that engine will need one when I'm finished with it.
