I need motivation. Anyone? Work has been crazy busy and I have been saving so I can pay off most of school before I go back in the fall, but I really need to get back on this thing. I haven't heard anything about my driveshaft, was hopping it would be finished by now, sunday I plan on working on the power steering lines, and maybe some of the wiring. Things left to do as of right now Program ECU (not sure how to do this) create a map (not sure how to do this...) The rest of the wiring Put in the new driveshaft power steering alignment put my wheels back on (they are on my lego right now) fuel lines fuel pump and then there's stuff like rust work in the bed and such, but that's no big deal that could even wait until the winter again.

Jessekrs123's 1984 Subaru BRAT

Mine took a long time to come in, I almost though they were not going to come in. I feel like they may only run those parts a few times a year and wait until they have enough orders before they rerun the parts if that makes sense. -
Wow those look amazing What did you use to polish the lip like that? It looks awesome! A great car too can't wait to see what you do with this one as well!!!

Mine sit flush with the fenders, and I used the xt6 control arms on the brat's stock subframe welding ea82 mounts on the back side. I'm going to have to get wheel spacers for the back to make the wheels look even back there though...

Thanks! I love this project, and need to focus on it again, I have to do some welding on a 65 ford this weekend, but after that I'm going to get right back on this! A couple solid weeks of work and it will be close to being on the road again! And the reason I did a 2.5 with 2.2 heads is because I didn't have to cut the engine bay apart. A DOHC engine is around 33 inches wide, and a ea81's engine bay is around 31 inches.

Well about time to bring this thing back:) Brought my drive shaft in today, going to have a new one made, and soon I'm going to be having power steering lines made up. I bought another project so that's why this has been on hold. Now that that one is mostly wrapped up, time to get back to my real project!!

Glad it's being put to good use! Being as rust as it is, you wont feel bad beating the **** out of it Can't wait to see what you guys do with it!!! -
I'm having my sleeved at some point... I need to get back on that thing...

I just fabricated my own using flat thick steel off from the original ea81 mount, It's not finished by any means, but it's a start. It still needs to be strengthened.

^This IMO the first gen legacys are some of the best Subaru's ever made, I have had two 1992's both with 200k + miles, and used them as daily drives, never had a single issue with one of them, just get in it and drive. I have also gotten pretty good milage with mine 23+ with the auto (vt hills kill mpg) And 25+ now that it's a five speed!!!! (we won't talk about the one I lifted ) I also like the 95-96 but I just prefer the older body style.
