  1. I must have missed out on that day Anyway here is our latest snow fall It took me forever to clean this thing off, but I drove it out of the parking space without moving any snow infront of it, must have been around 2 feet
  2. Depends on the year, if you go with an obdII 1.8 they had a knock sensor, or at least the harness I'm dealing with right now has one (1997 Brighton 1.8), but not many people have done an obdII swap so there isn't as much info about it. Another option would be running a 1.8 with a 2.2 harness.
  3. When I had my Brat's windshield gasket replaced, I had the installer not use glue to hold in the seal, incase I ever broke a windshield I would be able to reuse it, it leaked for a while (the installer told me it would) and after the water between the window frame and the seal dried up it created a seal and stopped leaking. So if you didn't use glue to hold the seal in that could be a possibility. My wagon also leaks in that area I have yet to diagnose that...
  4. If mine could have been fixed yours can That rust does look pretty bad, but with enough time and determination anything can be fixed, and you have already fixed the gas tank, that is a pretty big undertaking. Don't give up
  5. That thing look's really solid! I love those hatchbacks, is it the 1.6? Also I really like the fact that it doesn't have carpets! Nice find!
  6. The 1.8's were a little less powerful than a 2.2 as the list above states, but you can not kill one of the 1.8's I had on in my 97 impreza and that car took a beating the only part left on it now (after the next owner crashed it into a river) is the engine, and it still runs great! In an EA car I would think that they would have plenty of power, and get pretty good milage at the same time! my 0.2
  7. I will post more pics as I do more work I have considered using the EJ trans mount, but it is oddly shaped for the brat. I'm sure you have seen one, but they are in an h pattern and it looked like it was going to be much simpler just to modify the brats original one due to how close they EJ mount is to the original location
  8. I only have this one in red. I would have to figure out shipping and such, pm me your address if you want it. It's going to be a while until I can get back home to find out the charges as I just got back to school. I already have it off because someone wanted it and never came and got it from me, and I think i have all the hardware to go with it too! -SB
  9. Made my own top engine mount today I also started to look at how I was going to make a trans mount and it looks like it is going to be pretty easy! I'm just going to weld a plate to the original brat mount and drill two holes in it!
  10. Are you looking for this one? Shipping might be a little pricy, but if you do want it I probably wont be able to ship it out until the week of the 14th due to a really busy schedule, and me being at school during the weeks away from both a place to ship them out, and I'm also away from the parts I have.
  11. That is cool! This whole project is awesome, keep up the good work -SB
  12. Sure am! It still works and the legacy trans has a bracket for it and everything! I bought a new cable last year for it as well, so I wasn't going to let that go to waist!
  13. Got my clutch cable fitted. It was probably the easiest part of this whole project, I had to cut a little bit of the legacy mount and the Brats cable fit in the mount perfectly!
  14. Looks like an awesome project keep us posted with progress and pics!
  15. I'm with you all the way. I love my 82 gl more than anything I have ever owned! I mean I really like my 02 wrx, but there's something about the old gen that just feels better, maybe it's my plaid seats
  16. Intake is somewhat together! And I got all the pinouts and such for the harness so I guess I'm really going to have to start in on that soon....
  17. We have one! 1976 914, We used the FWD legacy five speed in it, DOHC 2.5 and an OBDII harness! It's awesome except the shift pattern is 100% backwards. It really is a great conversion, and also one of the most fun/scary things I have ever driven. I'm glad my dad build a cage for it I wish I could go to the meet, but being on the other side of the country is kind of an issue... -SB
  18. I would buy it as well! I picked up my 92 legacy wagon AWD for $650 because the last owner didn't want to put a door on it, and it needed and alternator. I got both used for free! The car has been bullet proof! One of the best cars I have ever owned!
  19. I feel the same way! (about the site and the number of old Subarus where I live) Every one on here has been super helpful to me as well
  20. This is also what I had to do, it didn't take all that long and is well worth it to have new ones! Now my hatch doesn't fall down and give me a headache
  21. After mine all fell off I drilled new holes into the gasket and moved it over a little bit. It appears to be holding up pretty well! In my other car I used WD-40 on the gaskets and that seems to be working okay. I think waxing the jams is a good way to go as well.
  22. Nice work! And very nice wagon. I hope the OBDII swap goes well! I'm doing one right now as well, but I'm going with an older harness (1997 1.8 impreza) Looks like a very good project!
  23. Oh crud I was thinking legacy sorry about that, man usually I don't slip up like that sorry for the bad info it does not help to you at all. I would think swapping the belts would be a good idea. That's what I did with my old Loyal, and it was so much better. Too bad I just crushed one with manual seat belts :/
