Replace Axle √ Replace Spindle √ Replace Hub √ New Ball Joint √ New Tie Rod End √ Ready To Wheel on Saturday? √√√

Im like 98% sure i will be attending.

I would just get some struts from a 4WD wagon, possibly a set of junkyard ones just as a test. Also im pretty sure that wheel/tire is balanced correctly i have one that looks the same it doesn't give me any issues.

Check your timing belts while your down there. If they seem warn replace them too, might as well while you got things apart, heck i would replace them regardless of condition.

Well my personal opinion is that you get your hubs converted to 6 lug then get a set of steel rims. Alloy rims may be lighter but will possibly get destroyed offroad, steel rims will hold up to a lot more abuse. Also 27" tires are perfect, you don't lose tons of power and you still have some good tread options.

Here are pictures of our trip, it ended up being a short run as Jeff sheared a axle stub off on the trailing arm side and exploded a strut on Butters. But it was still fun, just hung out and showed our expert skills in left handed rock throwing as Pat ran down and got Jeff a new strut. http://s18.photobucket.com/albums/b115/Vegablade/Walker%20Valley%20March%2019%202011/

Mine did the exact same thing two days ago, i just took my ratchet and tightened the nut on the wiper arm and it works fine now. Give it a shot before you dig into it to much. -

Well about an hour ago i finished swapping out the new fuel tank, got a welded diff from Jeff and Rick, and put it all back together. Flushed the lines and everything is clear and she runs good now. Ill drive it some more tomorrow and hope for the best.
-
New fuel tank. This is what came out of the old tank at the end.
-
Well i could take a picture of it tomorrow in the daylight.
-
Thanks but Jeff, Rick And Dan did most of the work, i watched and learned. Still have lots of small stuff to do.
-
How do you feet about cutting and welding the strut? You can cut off the mount on the bottom of the strut being careful not to puncture it, then you can weld in a 2" long piece of pipe. That's how Jeff And Rick did my car. Jeff might jump in and offer some more info.

Ok so i went ahead and ordered a new fuel tank from JC Whitney. Its a Spectra, i dont know if anyone has used these before but they guarantee it will fit. To bad it wont show up until next month.
