Even with 27" tires and a 2" lift you will incur some body damage. Walker is definitely a lot more rough than a flat mud pit at WCSS. With my 2" lift I smashed my doors, rockers, bumpers, body, hatch, and fenders. Even with a 6" and 29" tires I still scrub on stuff. Its your car so do what you want but expect it to get receive some sort of damage.

I'm also out. I have the motor swap mostly finished but just don't have enough time to work out the kinks and make sure its running good.
-
I am gonna push hard to finish my motor on Friday and see how well it runs.

I'm going to push hard to get my motor swap finished this week so I have time to test it. As long as it holds together I hope to make it.

I could possibly do the 27th. Couldn't make the 3rd.

Yeah like monstaru said, your best bet may be to mock up the mounts and then work out from there. Tack it all together and if it looks good burn the rest in. Its how we did mine and it turned out pretty good.

I also have 29" Bighorns. I usually run around 35. I do a lot of highway miles to and from walker. I never air down for the trails, I probably should but I'm lazy and don't have a good mobile air compressor. I have never had any issues.

If she is coming I will personally drag my car down with a rope, motor or not.

I have a replacement motor for temporary to drop in. If I can get it swapped and sorted I will try and be there.

I'd like to try to make a side by side buggy.

A lot of people swap in the Dual Range from the GLs or import an EJ one from outside the us. As for an automatic you will want to look into the Forester 4.44. Not sure the exact specs on which versions it came in but someone should know. -
Blown headgasket. Its bubbling lots of exhaust through the radiator. Going to start piecing together the parts for an EJ swap.

I would be down but my motor is kinda toast. Would be willing to ride along and shoot photos!

Hmm cant find the link now. It looks like it got painted OD green, still had KM2s on it.

I think he sold it already. Saw a post on facebook about it. Also I think your Legacy is on craigslist.

Not to be a debby downer but a 235/75/15 is more like a 29". I have a set of bighorns on my wagon in that size and have been pleased with them so far. A little bit of trimming and bashing but not bad. Still need more in the front.

There are lots of other threads related to this topic. You already have the outback suspension. Unless you are doing some hardcore offroading then just find a nice set of all terrain tires and get out there.
-
The wheels you linked to wont fit. The ones you linked to are 8 lug. You will need to find 5x100mm. The suspension you listed should give you a little lift and then just find some smallish tires to fit. I would suggest BF Goodrich T/A KOs or General Grabber AT2s. Size would depend on what size wheel you chose. I would look at a 15" for the best assortment of tires.

Possibly. May have a blown head gasket but i'm going to test some stuff this weekend. Will talk to Jeff too.

That sucks, what are the rules on bringing parts across the border?

Are you in Lynden, Washington State? We probably have the highest population of Subarus here in the PNW. There are 16 Legacys at the Arlington Pick N Pull right now.
