a YYAYYYY and a BOOOO and a question or 2
Vegablade replied to TheMeatWagon's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
you could also just sand it a little bit then just put some primer on it. that will keep it from rusting from moisture in the air. -
thats pretty funny my cousins live in indonesia i should have them send me one lol. my car does that and i have had a few problems like my thermostat was all messed up and a hose was split. but i also had to fill my radiator up. i might flush it out then fill it up and try that.

My Car Tried To Kill Me!!!!
Vegablade replied to Vegablade's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I cleaned out the radiator by flushing it with a hose, i think i found my problem. the radiator is messed up, but i think i have a leak because when i filled it up it took a while even with a hose on full blast and when i flushed it out it was very clean so i think that was the problem. -
So i was driving around some dirt roads, not doing anything to crazy when my car starts to over heat. i have had this happen before but it was becase a hose was bad and my thermostat was messed up. so i get home almost over heating to red and look at my radiator overfill tank and there is steam and water coming out i took a few pics. then not ten seconds after i take the pictures the green cap explodes of and water starts shooting out of the over fill tank and on my arm. luckily it was not enough to burn me. so what do you guys think new radiator or what.

Vegablade replied to Scoobywagon's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
i have looked at a few books at my friends part store and it shows some parts that are interchangeable but a huge list would be awesome. -
I would be up for it i also live close to Mt. Baker. all i need is a date and place to meet. but i need to get my front axle fixed. if i cant in time i will drive it in rear wheel drive in stead of front.

Just go to a junk yard and find parts there, its lots cheaper than trying to buy them new. they are also not that hard to put on. im not that knowledgeable about cars either and so far with a little help from friends i have changed out cv joints, ball joints, alot of new wiring and hoses and other small stuff. Keep the work going. Rock On
