  1. Before i put my EJ in i also replaced the rear main and haven't had a problem or leak of any kind. I'm sure you will be fine...unless of course you put it in backwards or something ha.
  2. Dang, man nice pics! Did you resolve those issues you were having with it not running right?
  3. I'm curious as to what front end he has mated onto there, that just doesn't look stock. Maybe a nissan sentra? Haha. What i think is funny is that dude truly believes he has the most B A car ever!
  4. Haha sounds like someone sitting at a desk was assigned the job of answering emails. That's funny, you should email them back and inquire about the EJ28 and their 1993 Subaru F-150.
  5. My EJ22 swapped loyale has started to do this sometimes, i am suspect of a dirty IAC but haven't had time to take it off and clean it.
  6. Can't pull a rev? Sounds like a snowboarding trick. Well since this car is a GL-10 it has a turbo unlike your regular GL you had before, which i'm sure you knew. Maybe the turbo has crapped out?
  7. SJR lifts can't ship you an EA81 4" lift for a reasonable price? Just curious why would you want to put EA82 suspension under it?
  8. When i did mine i just welded two bolts together and it worked great. Even if they were shaved, you could grind them a little then weld them, just test fit them suckers and you shouldn't have a problem.
  9. Man, you said it all right there. On the road is one of the best books i've ever read. Maybe somewhere on your journey you can hit up the old lincoln highway, (or at least some parts that still exist) as i'm sure you know it was the first paved road between NY and CA. I live in Cheyenne, WY and travel to Laramie,WY quite a bit for work and from I-80 you can actually see the old paved ghost road off to the side. Pretty cool. Anyways love the GL! Can't wait to see the docu!
  10. Just weld some together bro man, that's all they are.
  11. I used a 9/16 drill bit but i welded the studs in on the back, you must be looking to just take the studs to pound town?
  12. No, he clearly said you have to "ride the nuts" haha now tear down that donor bro!
  13. True that! A friend of mine had a 95' Wagon with 375,000 on the original engine! ...and it's still cruisin.
  14. Dude...you've got to do something about those white wall tires haha. Reminds me of the delorean in back to the future when they had tires put on in BTTF 3. Either way i like what you've done with it!
  15. It probably serves no other purpose however simply look at how it is routed off of the crank pulley to see if it spins anything else. Won't hurt anything to leave it off though and possibly give you a half of a horsepower to boot haha.
  16. You could have a dealer do it and charge you a ridiculous amount, or you could get down and dirty yourself and junkyard find it. Although leather seats out of a new car are going to be expensive too. Last June i bought my wife a 2013 Outback Limited precisely based on the fact that the premium seats were awful to sit in. As far as the power hookup goes, maybe there is a plug under the factory seat? The power seats are going to have their own controls and what not built into them so thats good. I guess what it comes down to is, how much money do you have to throw at it?
  17. No, that's the craziest part Glo, the coolant is coming from behind the plug! Haha. I went to the car wash today to blast everything off just to make sure and sure enough its seeping from behind it. Not enough to ever spray under pressure, just enough to get a small amount around it. The passenger has the same plug but no coolant around it. Im wondering if maybe i'm about to lose a head gasket... :/
  18. It is on the bottom side of the head, kind of a strange plug. I'll try and tighten that sucker up and see if that helps, if nothing else i'll take it out and drain the coolant then reseal the plug with some RTV to help. Thanks fair!
  19. Hey all, I have a 92' Loyale with an EJ22 and i was doing a once over on it today and while underneath i noticed coolant around this plug on the drivers side just above the exhaust. Could someone please inform me as to what this plug is and what function it serves? I appreciate any help, thanks!
  20. Wow, geez didn't think there would be this much interest honestly but when i go back i will look for all of these things! I know the trunk was badged 1600. He said the thing still ran and drove when he parked it just that oil was coming out of the #3 cylinder and he didn't know much about subarus.
  21. I should and also take the locking diff out of it. Lots of good parts out there and its basically a dudes collection. If i really tried (and i had room) i'd buy all of them and bring em home, he actually let me look around.
  22. Found an unmolested 88' GL10 yesterday in a forgotten junkyard. The only drawback that i could see was it is an automatic :/ Pretty decent throughout though.
