  1. Nice, thanks Bratman! Learned something new today, that's why i like this site. Now that i'm thinking of it i have two of these diffs in my garage, one is stock and one is a welded "lincoln" locker. I have absolutely no use for them but im hesistant on taking them to the junk yard.
  2. Yeah buddy! My first EJ swap was into a carbed 85' wagon, i replaced the fuel pump with one from a GL-10 and just replaced the rubber fuel line in the engine bay and never had a problem. You just have to find a fuel pump from a fuel injected EA and swap them out, it's actually very easy to do!
  3. Hey Dis, i bought one of those Bissel Autol ProHeat cleaners off amazon for $100 and that thing made my seats look brand new! Took every stain and discoloration out, whats cool about it as well is it heats the water/cleaner solution up. Nice job on your seats though i never though of the iron trick!
  4. Correct me if im wrong but you're also going to have to change your rear diff to match the tranny. I can't remember what loyales came with but i'm thinking the GL's were different, you're going to have to check the tag on the diff and see what number it says.
  5. Yeah, what bratman said. I have a 92' Loyale with a dual range from an 88' in it, way better than that pushbutton deal! But then again my first subie was a 90' Loyale with the pushbutton and i offroaded that car like no other and it did awesome, completely stock haha. I even moved the pushbutton to the dash just for fun. You're basically just gaining the low range and manual shifting into 4WD by going dual range.
  6. Boom! Up 285 right across the park county line?! Kinda by that cemetary for bailey? I grew up runnin those roads as i spent my childhood all the way up through highschool in Fairplay. My most favorite drive on earth is up and down south turkey creek road!
  7. That first pic was taken looking east from bandimere/470, where about in the foothills do you live? Nice clean wagon too!
  8. Engineers report?! That sounds about as awful as california emissions haha. Here in wyoming you can literally do anything you want to a car, they require no emissions, no inspections, nothing. I thought it was pretty cool till every jerk here with a diesel truck straight piped their engine and then fly up and down the streets ALL DAY.
  9. Yeah of course, it makes the otherwise crazy job of wiring easier and better to understand especially if something goes wrong. It's also nice knowing all of the wiring is brand new and you won't be chasing a broken wire or something hidden behind the fender or up under the dash! Good luck!
  10. Man, that thing is killer! It's like a nasty fasty! Is the hood perma popped?
  11. Welcome! And can't to see more of your brat. Cool name too B-RAT. Nice. More pics please and may i suggest a new thread in the members rides section depicting everything you do?
  12. That's good to hear, i may do the same in my loyale. My brother lives in Dillon, we plan on doing a road trip to Teton this summer. I just took my first long trip after the EJ22 swap and it felt good! Let me know if you have any questions when you go to do your swap, be glad to help!
  13. I love the "fix" you did on that canister the mice and or flying humanoid chewed through haha.
  14. How easy was it to put the outback seats in your wagon? I thought of doing something like that to mine. Love these wagons...did i see you live montana as well?
  15. Last night i was able to fab up a new bumper, only took about two hours. I need to finish attaching the hitch, paint it, and come up with a spare tire swing carrier. Next will be fixing the front bumper i made and improve it some more!
  16. Nice senior pics man! Did the photographer "get" the whole lifted subaru thing? Ha. Love it, i wish i would have discovered my love for subarus in high school, i'd probably be on my 19th one and would have a small fleet! Cars looking awesome, keep on rockin.
  17. Hey! Nice introduction, pictures and all, that's what im talkin bout! Welcome!
  18. Welcome Bob, i'd like to see a pic or two of that fiat station wagon as im sure alot of people on here would!
  19. Hey smashed, that headliner looks good i like the way ot turned out although i must say i was hoping to see some crazy a$$ pattern up there haha. Damn good idea on putting the insulation up there before the head liner that should help cut down on road noise and some of that florida heat? I can't imagine 90+ right now...it snowed here today.
  20. Love my scoon. 92' Loyale. Hmm thought i'd try and use the desktop version of usmb off my phone to try and post pics but hasn't worked yet.
  21. Haha holy crap. Just when you think you've seen it all. Wow. I guess if the car doesn't run hot then it's probably fine as the water pump is still pumping coolant through the motor and radiator.
  22. Took the car on its first big trip! Went down to Golden, then way up my favorite place, south turkey creek canyon by tiny town. Found a little mud from melting snow here, this was really slick and kept sliding, if i didn't have to be at my brothers for a bday party i would've tried harder. I calculated 22.6 miles to the gallon there and back on a full tank. Not that great but i don't mind, even if it only got 15 miles to the gallon i wouldn't care. Lessons learned: Reroute exhaust out the back, i love the subaru exhaust but 2.5 hrs of it at 75 mph isn't very fun. Get better brakes! And get better speakers! Haha anyways here's a pic.
  23. Mmm hmm taters with mustard mmmhmm. Haha that was another great story, keep em coming!
  24. Yo Rusty, i for one enjoy keeping up on your thread and i don't remember seeing anything negative ever but i might be mistaken. I was even thinking of your pickup with that 250,000+ sticker the other day because i've always wanted a 97-98 Chevy pickup extended cab 4x4 and seen one the other day here driving around and thinking of how great those vortec 5.7s were and even the 4L60E...kinda haha. Keep up the good work man and damn the haters...do yo thing.
  25. That was a great story, well written and inspiring! Ha
