First water pump I bought, I believe might be for a EA81? -

Hello from Colorado
Scooner replied to SubieFan_83's topic in Meet n' Greet. Your USMB Welcome Center
It's true I had a 99' outback with a full rebuild including head gaskets, timing belt components etc and that car was incredible, and was surprisingly quick. Welcome aboard here as well, where in Colorado do you call home? -
1979 Brat clutch pedal hinge worn out
Scooner replied to ME123Insanity's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
Wow, thanks for the post on this topic! I have an 80' Brat that has tranny problems like the reverse thing you are saying. I wonder if I am experiencing the same problem? I haven't looked into it too much as I just recently bought it and just got it running after sitting for a long time. -
Nice write up Glo, I might have to do this on my car. I want to get rid of that silly bumper I made up front and start over and this makes more sense. Thanks!

Oh man the parts Brat is so rotten underneath and has a lot of bondo. The gold one is in very solid condition which is nice. What is the advantage of EA81 suspension and also how difficult is it to attach?
-
Sir Dave! Good to hear from you man! The brat is coming together quite well and I am just waiting for the water pump to come in to test out the weber carb I just put on it. I still don't know about the EJ swap, I might just do an weberized EA81 with a dual range. There would be just a little bit of modifying then if any. The dude that gave me the rollbar is also trading me a badass factory brush guard subaru bumper for the standard bumper on mine. You need a subie bro and fast. What's up with that white 2nd Gen Brat you showed me?

EJ it. Ha I hate intermittent problems. I'll bet it's the fuel pump, get under there and hit it with something haha. I heard on NPR today about the fantastic blizzard that is going to hit the east coast tonight...that's exciting! Wish I could say it was snowing here in Cheyenne...but it was 65 today with no wind and almost 70 tomorrow. I'll take it.

Look what I was fortunate enough to bring home! I had to go to Rawlins today for work and I promised the PO of my BRAT I would bring him his cd player and cd changer back to him out of the BRAT so he said, "well, mine as well take this rollbar back with you." I couldn't believe it! Luccccky.

Damn that thing is a beast! I thought they started the loyale name in 1990 though?

dual range donor cars?
Scooner replied to bulletproof's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
I just picked up an 88' GL wagon to basically take the dual range 5 speed to use in my brat, I might put an EJ22 in it but then again I might just get an EA81 with a weber carb. The 81 would be a lot easier to put in there and there wouldn't be any ECU or wiring issues. -
Lookin good, I started on my weber carb install this weekend but I was sent an EA81 water pump and I didn't want to start it without that. Just have to be patient. Can't wait to see more of your BRAT!

Toonga, that is a great looking wedge! I really like the way it looks with the lift. Good job!

How much is a replacement worth to you? Because i have a setup for you but no idea what it's worth. -
http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/150596-ej22-swap-added-wiring-diagrams/?do=findComment&comment=1267992 Here is the link to the paperwork i gave sumoco for his EJ swap, these pieces of paper were priceless to me when i did both of my swaps. Especially the wiring print that explained where the grey diode goes that has all of the colored lines, that was the missing link on my last swap that i had forgot about!

Can't wait to see it! Also, more of the GL, what has it been up to since becoming a big movie star? Drugs, women, the usual? -
Oh no Loyale, you're thinking of the user swiftt who posted above me i think. My EA71 is a plain ol hitachi carbed deal.
