  1. Wow that's cool re: rear pads, yeah that noise is annoying. Odd thing: since doing all that to RF. That rotor looks like it has surface rust, as though the pads aren't gripping to wear it off?????? Wierd. Was gonna pick up rear pads tomorow, will hold off till we see if yours will work.
  2. Thanks! If it happens, and I'm allowed I'll be there, looking forward to meeting you! I need a roadtrip once and again...
  3. Thanks Tom! I enjoyed as well, and the brakes work!!!
  4. Sorry, not too computer savvy, tried to put this one in last post too... Current avitar are some of my vehicles... Blue= 1968 chevy van 108, 250-I6 White= Dearly departed 1994 AWD GMC Safari 4.3 vortec R.I.P.
  5. Guess so- Duuuu took me awhile to figure out this msg. was why I kept having a notification but I read all P.M.s... F-ing computers, I'd rather be messin w/ a car!

  6. Ahhhh... How did I get here?? Will I be able to find it again??? Just so you know, there are some pics. of Ron's Gremlin in your Photobucket album. Apparently, you put it on this comp. and I couldn't get away from it... Tried to make a new album but????

  7. This car actually belongs to a buddy of mine. When I first started on USMB, (and still today) I'm not too good on the computer... He guessed my password, and put his car on here... It is a kicka** car, very fun and fast.
  8. Yeah, blocking my access to the wheel well area!! is all good, it's done. (I hope) You are just not happy if you're not wrenching on something hey??
  9. Well put! thanks for being the one trying to keep the peace.
  10. Thanks for the computer lessons Tom!! Looking forward to getting 5 years of pictures organized!! Anyone wondering about the new avitar, Blue van is my 68 Chevy-(250 I6) White van is my dearly departed 94 GMC Safari R.I.P.
  11. Tom (TheLoyale) and I replaced caliper today, so far so good- after a couple mile test drive, all wheels seem to be the same temperature. Big Thank You to Tom!!!
  12. My (former) Avitar before it was yellow....
  13. It's a 1986, 305, Quadrajet, got it last May. (pretty clean for a WI car) Gave it all kinds of love... plugs, wires cap, rotor, rear springs, shocks, battery,exc.... was running weird...discovered cat was plugged, cut that off and temp. fix w/flex tube. Now having issues trying to get fuel filter to let loose. What engine do you have??? Quadrajet??? Hoping mine will be a driver real soon. As soon as I can get that fuel filter off, lookin at some new exhaust. Know what size fuel line is???(at filter) Metric??? 5/8 just the tiniest bit loose, I really need to ream on it, but don't want to strip it.
  14. Alright looks like my aviar may be changing soon, anyone who wants so see the Gremlin in action, (before it was yellow) check this link! http://www.youtube.com/user/401ish?blend=3&ob=5#p/a/u/1/E2v1KnqTaCs

  16. R.I.P. Gil Scott-Heron http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rGaRtqrlGy8
  17. Hate to say it, but it will probly be on my wall, next to my "beloved" GMC grill. I will try to love them both equally.... That will come in time, I'm sure.......
  18. Plannin a trip??? Maybe you need a hitchhiker?
  19. My 94 AWD Safari van w/4.3 Vortec went 226,000.!!! (I loved that van) To change rear left plug, pull LF wheel, and go through wheel well with 3 foot extension. Once you figure that out, it's quite easy!
  20. Been busy w/ other stuff, ElCamino, house, school exc..... I know the cover/guard is dumb, but when I take them off I gotta store them-You've seen my garages!!!
  21. After reading the "sticky" about interference vs. non, I think mine is non. (I've been told it's an EZ30something.) I can tell you, I bought my 01 H6 3.0 because it has a timing chain!
  22. It's just gettin tired, got over 200k. Right now, something up w/the clutch/master cyl. Spouse has favorite fix it shop right next to the pizza place, I'm kinda convinced they are hacks. (won't let me touch it, except for 1- oil change) I'd like to get an older Soob for deliveries.And/or a parts Focus, Spouse wants a brand new car!! Not happenin on my watch!!
  23. Not sure if the car was ever wrecked- before purchase searches came up clean, but if someone fixed on their own, or had a buddy fix, It wouldn't show up right? If anyone knows about proportioning valves, or ABS feel free to chime in.....
