Attention? From the "locals" up there? Had many calls? Haven't seen my Ford buddy yet- Hope to soon though, want to see if he can help me work out these carb/choke issues w/the El Cam. (without complete rebuild). Gotta feeling it may be something w/"electric" choke controls. Darn this "technology"- miss the good old manual choke- at least I know how to operate them! Maybe shoulda kept my 62 Fairlane:eek:-I'd be racing turtles as we speak. Hahaha.

Nothing new on the Safariwagon lately, huh??? Suppose everything is done already....

Thanks, meant pics. w/ seat cover off though- guess it doesn't matter too much, pretty sure buddy can't afford anyway.

Yeah,Yeah- There is one thing that's better about your Ford, It's put together! -
Jo- Can you post a link to those interior pics. too? (I'm still not too computer savvy) I do have a "Ford buddy" I will mention it to him... not sure of his $$$$ situation though.

YES!!!!!!! Hahahahahaha
-
What is considered appropriate "on topic" for a Hi! thread anyway??? Anything but measurements of body parts???? Hahahaha
-
You guys better not mess up my thread w/ your "man talk"!!!!!!
-
I know how you must feel, I am extra sad for you too.. Like Tom said, all we can do is keep the faith that someone will love her/him (Montana) as much as you do.

Don't wait until they start complaining!! By then it's too late! Got a Buddy going thru He** over this I totally agree w/ the "too much stuff"-- I have the same issue, a bunch of vehicles that I love, and none of them get the proper attention. I couldn't bear to part w/any of them. Well.... maybe a basket case 70 Chevy P/U... any takers??? -
Gosh darnit!!!! I knew I shouldn't have let anyone else touch the thing!!!! Yes, Jo! It was the combination of the heat gun, and daily saturation of the magic penetrating oil! At least she came out of the garage for the first time in 6 mos.!! Too bad she just didn't want to go back in there!!!
-
Had a little "incident" - I call it ElCamino vs. Garage (The ElCamino won) She emerged w/o a scratch. Paint rubbs cleaned right off.

Under $30 is good! If anyone can make that beast run, it's you!!! El Camino runs!!!!! Extra big Thanks to TheLoyale!!!! (Tom) Ended up just putting a vice grip on the Mr-Fer, and the heat gun. Broke loose! Maybe I can return that 15mm line wrench...
-
El Camino runs!!!!!! Kinda pukey, but it runs!!!
-
Yep, that's exactly what one of the very helpful guys at my favorite parts store told me to do. Thanks for the tip though I will be doing that. [Hopefully at the top of the line though,(filter area)] Just picked up a 15mm line wrench, hope I can pound it on, as the 5/8 was just a smidge loose. Of course I picked the hottest day of the year to play w/a heat gun Too bad about the Ford Hope that pump is not too much $$$. Thanks for thinking of me! -K

He's too young to know any better.

Hahaha- You haven't seen my basement! Your probably right though, less is more! Would go good w/ the vintage Jimi Hendrix black light poster.
-
Oh my Gawd! I may have to paint my basement with that stuff!!!

The list price on the bearings was $6. each, You will also need a 30mm. socket (or equivalent) for pounding them out/in. I got a deal on the bearings, and including the socket, spent about $10. on the whole job.

Welcome! I've had my 01 H6 3.0 LLBean for about a year now. She is a sweet ride! There's not a whole lotta "H6 specific" info on here (kinda a new beast) but there's a few of us here... One thing to do right away is the idler and tensioner bearings, I put mine off for too long, but caught them before any major damage was done. I saved a whole lotta $$$ by changing just the bearings, and not the whole pulley(s). When you're ready, I can give you part #'s and all the specifics. That's what we're here for! Enjoy your new ride!
