  1. I just noticed that it looks like the HLA (lifter) sleeves are thicker than what is normally found. You stated the old lifters were 20mm and the new ones are 21mm. I think someone changed the sleeves and put the wrong lifters in. See pictures yours top, with the thick sleeves and mine with correct sleeves. Please someone chime in, and let me if crazy assuming that the factory sleeves and lifters(HLA) were changes at some point. Edit: Ductran's head on left, mine right
  2. 64mm is over 2-1/2". Your originals look like this one, for V6 and V8 Dodge/Ford and other makes. Not a EA82 They should be around 2-3/8" in height, and look like this.
  3. http://mizpahprecision.com/pricing.htm Click the link: Wow! Ok There has to some closer... Russia maybe
  4. Do you still have the original HLA's? If so call Mizpah and send them off.
  5. Yep, these people are awesome!! http://mizpahprecision.com/pricing.htm
  6. Ill point you in a direction. There is a lot on this subject.. Please research. Google is a lot easier to find answers, than using the search here. Google: EA82 HLA. , EA82 lash adjusters, or EA82 Tick of death Let us know what you find. Also, how much did you pay for the Lash Adjusters(lifters)? You most likely over paid
  7. Just curious, has any tried these tires?? https://www.tirerecappers.com/tires/light-trucks-tires/p20565r15-retread-mega-mudd-mt/
  8. I was thinking of removing the antenna to run wires to interior.
  9. I forgot to show another pic of how the pvc adapter fit the the sleeve
  10. I followed the 4WD bearing guide that 987687 submiited and created my own tool to press bearing sleeve in. Might be helpfull to those that are just discovering there awesome cars. Note: carefull not bang the double jack to far while removing the sleeve it may damage the builtin bearing stop surface. Used 3/4" x 12" allthread 3ea 3/4" nuts Edit: 2ea 7/8" 2-1/2 washers(used over size hole size to make small adjustments) 1ea 3/4"x 3" sq washer ( i used slotted) 1ea 1-1/4 pvc adapter(perfectly tapered to fit inside the sleeve) Edit: used 2ea 3/4" x 2-1/4 also on both ends Center bearing and tool a slowly tight and recheck centering. Then slowly tight inside nut and it just slips in. It will feel like it resisting, continue to tighten slowly.. Till full seats against bearing stop. I going to replace my other bearing soon, so think with some mods it can used to remove bearing as well.
  11. I made this DYI tool to press in Rear 4wd bearing sleeve in my 93 Loyale wagon 12" x 3/4 allthread 3ea 3/4 nuts 1ea 3/4" x 3" sq (slotted) washer 1e 3/4" x 1-1/2 round washer(placed on top of PVC adapter) 1ea 3/4 x 2" Round washer 1ea 3/4 x 2-1/2 Round washer 1ea. 1-1/4" PCV adapter this was perfect fit As you can see the PVC Adapter protects the bearing sleeve from the allthread. . Just place the bearing sleeve straight in and place the PVC adapter in the sleeve. Then slide allthread inside and place washers/nuts on either end. Tighten but not a lot , just enought to take slack out. Then center the tool , and make sure that sleeve is still striaght. Make small adjustments as you tighten by hand. Once centered... Start to tighten inside nut slowly. Bearing should move easily, i encountered only at little resistance when 7/8 through. Just countinye to tighten till it is a firm stop. Remove tool to check if fully seated. Leave the PVC adapter in place till tool in removed to prevent damage to bearing sleeve. I'm sure all of you get the idea, just though it might helpfull to add to this great write up.
  12. Well.. I'm dumb. I hate to admit it, but I over looked something. The upper rad hose clamp was not tight and coolant was streaming along the thermostat and under the intake. Always tell others the think small and I failed to follow my own advise. ????
  13. I appologize for not stating it was a coolant leak. Yeah, it is weird...
  14. I wish that could good picture the leak, but my intake is on the car. Used a spare to show location. I found my telescoping mirror and now see, what looks like stress fracture from the circle to front of intake. Is this common? Dont, think I have seen a post about it.
  15. Ok, never had this happen before. I first thought the intake gasket was leaking.... But no! It is leaking right where casting circle is (passenger side)
