  1. I did this aa a test to see what it would look like. My trim is dry rotted and just flaking off. What you guys think??? One I pulled most of the dry rubber off and the other I just left as is. I think, that I need to make some kind of trowel to spread it, so it does not get clumpy.
  2. Costco had Goodyear wipers, fits everything under the sun!! I have bayonet type on my Loyale and its wAs always crap shoot finding the right blade. Goodyear includes all adapters. Great blades
  3. Could it be your axle nut not be tight? I had one start to back out and it made a sound like a cv joint...
  4. Congrats!! job well done, sir!
  5. Nick, I finally had some free time and was going ask if you needed a second pair of eyes, until I saw that you solved it. Glad you found the issue. Why does it seem to be the easy stuff that drives you crazy. You ever need help, let me know.
  6. Imy wagon does have auto seatbelts. Mmm, did not know that.... I will research the control unit. Thanks
  7. I like it!! Too funny... I have tried to pin point it but it only lasts like seconds. It is in the general area where the water tank/pump is.
  8. Oops. I made error. Buzzing coming from left rear, where washer pump is.
  9. I should add that my rear window washer pump stopped working, about 1yr ago. There is still water in the tank. Maybe thats it??
  10. I have a 93 Loyale wagon 4wd, that has a sporadic morse code like buzzing coming from the right rear qtr panel. It will happen with car off and key out of ignition. I have been out doing work in the garage and it will happen out of nowwhere. Could a relay make a buzzing sound?? Any ideas?? I search my friend Google and found no posts on the issue. Strange....
  11. Sarge, the dash looks amazing!! Great work
  12. Glad to hear it runs!!! Sometimes you rack your brain, and it will the most simple thing.
  13. Edit: You said that timing was checked but did make sure that engine was at TDC rotor on #1 ??
  14. Ok, you know when you one of those DUH!!! Moments...well. Did you notice the postion of the retractor?? It was right in line with the center pillar... Mmm, not correct postion. There are two bolt hole locations, and I only saw the one... The wrong one. The one lower and back is the correct location to anchor retractor. Question, why are there two?? For non-automatic seatbelts
  15. Also, when seat is moved forward the the tensioner works... Its a really pain in the rump roast
  16. I replaced the carpet from an 87 d/r ea82 donor, and it looks great. The issue is that the retractors (door side) on both front seats block the seats from moving all the back. I have tried postioning them differently but same result. When i have the tab with two spikes faced to carpet the tensioner, cocks to inside of the car.... Well really any postion it cocks inboard. This postion does not allow the front seats to move far enough for any person height to sit in front seats and the seat belt are locked. I have searched here and with Google and found nothing. Your assistance would be appreciated. Thank you
  17. Well now you know what I know. Sorry, it took so long to update. Oh, and by the way engine transplant was a success. Thanks to I75eya!! Magpie's heart lives on!!
  18. Edit added correct quote: Both of you called it!!!! #1 middle compression/wiper ring is totally stuck.edit** correction Edit*. It was #3 middle compression/wiper ring is totally stuck, not #1 I removed and cleaned it but there seemed to be a rough spot near the gap where it was stuck. Also even with out a feeler guage, there seems to be a tolerance issue. Very tight still... Maybe using a piston ring cleaner would really clean iout.
