  1. My 95 Legacy L wagon got 25mpg on my last full tank.. 3/4 highway doing 80 most of the time with another passanger, and 100 lbs of luggage 1/4 in town lots of stop and go and being heavy on the throttle. i figured this was pretty good. since my tires were 2psi low, and i think my cats are a little clogged up, but not enough to cause a CEL. oh and noisy lifters in the passenger head.. i'm sure i can get 30mpg once i get new fuel, and air filtes. new plugs, wires, high flow cat, and 34/32 psi in the tires. oh and take the led out of my right shoe.
  2. Are you having valve noise? hydraulic lash adjusters can get air in them or seize, causing a loud tick that gets faster with RPMs
  3. Thank you.. i had a hard time choosing between this color, white, and black Thanks man.. the PC?
  4. Thanks again for the compliments and warm welcomes. Getting them ready to get them put on.(I really like this picture) finally no more steelies, or hubcaps. well at least tell the first snow fall enjoy
  5. oh ok my bad some how I missed the "GEAR Oil" part. I should probably go back to sleep. lol
  6. oil pan rear main the plate on the back of the motor next to the rear main (sry don't remember the actual name for the plate thing) drain plug like you suggested. valve covers
  7. Permatex anaerobic gasket maker #51813 it only hardens when installed. this is what you should use to seal your oil pump to the block if you haven't reinstalled it already. its what I used when I did an overhaul on my ej22 3k miles later and no signs of oil on or around my oil pump.
  8. Thank you.. 2nd gens are my favorite body style. I like the 2.5rs too but they're just too small I noticed that theres quite a few PNW members on this forum. This seems like a great site, with nice people.
  9. nice.. a buddy of mine had one of those and it was a BEAST that wouldn't die. he submerged it under water to the point of water coming in the windows, and it would just keep on keepin on through this creek. it wheeled just as hard as the full size trucks, and it was his daily driver, lol thats the first subaru I road in, and I was hooked. to be honest his GL was the reason I bought my first subaru.
  10. just after painting the OEM subaru alloys floor mats I'm at 143K now. front lip, fog lights, and bug deflector. all OEM subaru parts side skirt test fit. want to clean them up before I mounted them just a random pic, but I like it so thought I would share
  11. SL-i.Net is another great site. thank you Thanks, and I agree. My 96 Legacy L wagon I had before this one had 280K miles on it before I decided to sell it. I wanted a wagon in white and this one popped up on craigslist at the perfect time with 140k miles and I picked it up for $1300, and it came with a whole list of service records, good tires, and newer mounted snow tires. Thank you. If you take care of the car it will take care of you. Thats how I've always looked at it. I have recently picked up a few things for my wagon. wrx floor mats front lip side skirts fog lights bug deflector wrx catback exhaust 14x6 subaru oem alloy 5spoke wheels I will put up some pics shortly -Kyle
  12. Hey, I'm looking for a total of $50 shipped for it. It's in good condition. I could get pictures if you'd like. Thanks!

  13. Hello all. My name is Kyle I'm from Richland, WA 22 years of age. I own a 95 Legacy L wagon. This is my second subaru, and sure as hell won't be my last . I acquired my first subaru at the age of 18, and it was a 96 L wagon. I thought I'd join the site to lurk around for a while to learn a few things, and maybe spread the little knowledge I've learned from my own experience working on my Subaru in the past. Here are some shots of my Subaru
  14. your valve noise could be bad HLA (Hydraulic Lash Adjuster). 90-96 EJ22s have them, and not very uncommon for them to seize or dry up. my passenger head (95 legacy L) had some bad HLA causing the tick of death, and the sound was most noticeable under the car toward the back of the head.
