I'm not sure about that. Given the Baja already has a body lift stock. I don't believe it's a B12 chassis(not sure) I thought about just getting the Baja spacers and trying it ...on my outback!

I went up to Hoodriver Sunday with my son for short hike . We cruised up Post canyon rd and then I hooked on Binns hill rd up high and wound up just below Mt.Defiance and blew thru some snow drifts wahoo! Dug out and pulled a minivan stuck in the snow buried to the frame! Subie pull no#4! the snow is still around 3500-4,000ft and deep drifts! Olallie is just out of the question for now given it's 5,000ft maybe in a few weeks!

no lift yet for 2gen outbacks either! They wanted me to come out and use mine as a guinea pig....sounds great.... but I want tested versions for safety since it's the family car! I don't have another ride while they figure it out either!

Now were talkin' ...add a rollcage w/Jib's tube doors!!!

Awesome! nice work! I work on alot of LPG trucks... At least if ya get stuck ...next time you can use the tank for cooking up some grub! We fabbed an adapter , so we can fill up 5gal tanks for our bbq's...(when we transer LP gas into a spare tank so we can change fuel pumps/filters).

There was a little engine oil fire at Oregon Trail rally day 3 ...we noticed the guys crewing next to us were cleaning the slidplate that was covered in oil!!! and they ran it a few miles in bfe and were out of the race due to a small engine fire...!!!

A few of us did some atv trails at WCSS7 ...it's tight but do-able! Where can't a wagon fit ....the pioneers got wagons in places that would make most subies envious as well...

Remember your outback is a '97 w/dohc ej22 and mine is an '03 w/ sohc ej25 two different beasts....

I will say a pint glass is great, since you can fit it in those holders in those foldable chairs! On the other hand who would put their beer down...?!!! -

'03 outback wagon lifted via kingsprings 215/75R15's At tires dia. 28.9" Mudrat front bumper for better approach/departure angles (several inches clearance over stock) front clearance at borla header 9.75" stock exhaust was 11.00" But a small sacrifice for more torque! Rear clearance at diff. protector 11.00"

When in doubt check it out before running the hole! I always check it out before .depth, obstacles hidden. Perhaps another rig goes before then you can guage abit how much clearance you need or a better line. No shame in gettin out of you soob and walking up and poking a stick in that hole just to be safe ... I mean most serious boaters have a depth finder/maps/channels/markers to navigate with. just common sense... Perhaps a snorkel is in your best interest if your drowning your soob and/or more lift to keep that dist. dry.

My outback is the heaviest gen they've made yet('00-04) my '03 tank... The new gen '05-up is much lighter. I'm well over 4,000lbs! so a 6,000lb winch is good Mate that with a yellow top D35 optima and I'll be ok....

I think I've only touched just a tip of the berg out there.... Blowdown Ridge, Deadpoint ridge, Blue ridge, middle mtn are my next quests to check out soon... only a few miles from Parkdale! So far there is more than enough trails for everyone to have fun on! FRS radios a must!

from the looks of the aerial shot ..wondering if ya were 007 in a subie! Always obey signs! keeps us in check so we will have a place to go wheelin' . Not to mention getting shot trespassing...never know who's in those woods....

I met up with Scrap 487 and we chk'd out some great stuff just out of HoodRiver . Fantastic views of the gorge and HoodRiver valley were just a few of the treats that awaited out mudhungry soobs....although we never found a alot of mud it was abit dry in most places. We took Country club road out of HoodRiver from (exit 62 East I-84) and followed it up several miles and turned right onto Riordan rd and headed into the woods! All I can say is Wahoo! This place was a mtn bike/motorcycle /atv/soobie heaven! Some of the folks up there erected serveral dirt bike ramps for jumping! The farther we went I just got better at every spur rd we could find... Lot's of fun hillclimbs, tight tracks, moguls, quarry pit and abit o' snow to play in too! We got snowed on for abit then the sun came out. We had a great time wheelin' !!! Here's a few pics until my camera batt. died....DOH! We even got some great video too! I did clean that hillclimb first try with my outback too! It's on video!
