  1. Sweet! Looks like you need a Mudrat bumper ... ! Nice 3rd pic! tastes great ...less filling!
  2. I'm glad you like my old bumper! I hope Mudrat comes through.... I called and left a message on Mudrats cell.....
  3. I am currently tying to configure a 4eat plate welded(alum.)to fit on my primitive skidplate with some rear mounting points . a lift does ya no good cos ya know ur gonna go into more extreme terrain...
  4. my outback in the snow breakin' trail for over 12miles @ Mt.Hood still creek rd/lolo pass ...snow flyin' over the hood into the windshield ....wahoo!!! bring it on! a few clickable pics from Sunday!
  5. nice ride! but I guess you'll miss out on stuff like this........
  6. Mt.Hood lots of stuff.......lolo pass/Olallie lake scenic area/badger lake.. FS roads all over with spurs /quarrys . Hood River has some fun stuff too...let me know I'm down for some wheelin...
  7. I might be up for that...my skidplates gettin welded to clear my header and the new Mudrat bumper should be done, plus my overhead lights too!!! I'm dying to go wheelin again....!!!
  8. Nice! Time for an optima yellow top D35 ...I just bought a set of Lightforce RMDL 170's (focusable)to put on my outbacks rack for some overhead lights...
  9. I will be there crewing for Primitive racing....WOT!
  10. Sounds awesome ! I hope to have my Mudrat bumper powder coated by then...Reminds me of Foster lake!!!
  11. Too bad it only has street tires! Needs some AT/MT tires/mudrat bumper then it would be badass! like mine.....
  12. Kewl! I plan on doing this mod soon . Now that I'm just outta warranty ...wahoo!!! I will definitely post results! I should have my Mudrat bumper done soon too!!! Perhaps a Auto owner lockup fest is in order! (snow/mud/hillclimbs)
  13. Here's a Mudrat Designs baja tube bumper on my '03 outback + a modified Primitive racing skidplate/bashplate.
  14. I don't think an explorer would fit on this ATV trail , let alone squeaze through the trees like I did.
  15. nice lift! I used kingsprings for mine. Custom ground front calipers to fit 15" rims over and some 215/75R15 Yokohama Geolander AT+ II's just fit without rubbing!!!I need a body lift now! I believe Subaxtreme is making strut lifts so you can use stock springs.
  16. I would sipe 'em. you'll get extra traction in wet/snow/ice conditions. I've even heard the tire wear is better although I can't verify that. I siped both sets of my on/offroad tires and love it.
  17. I just read on the Rallitek forums that they are making a switch for the automatics!!! WAHOO!!! WITH A 50/50 SPLIT! I'm gettin one!
  18. Rallitek is making a switch for automatics to lockup the rear lsd 50/50 split instead of a 90/10 for auto trans.
  19. I have an '03 outback w/ 4EAT , 39,000 hard on/offroad miles!!! It's bomber! shifts flawless. I have serviced it twice with redline synthetic atf. Thinking about an aftermarket cooler though. For offroad it's great as it has a lower gear ratio in 1st vs the 5mt trans.
  20. Why do ya think they call them Exploders?! I've pulled out two : one explorer out in a foot of snow when I was stock! I also pulled out a a Mercury mountaineer in the sand buried to the rear axle!!! I gotta say the suby is a more capable car... the rear lsd helps alot vs the open diff of the explorer. With my AT tires I'm almost unstoppable! I'll take on any explorer! I do drive like mad max on/offroad!!!
  21. Mudrat was thinkin' about making one for the outback/baja rear tube bumper. But he needs a donor car. I like my factory rear bumper for now.
  22. Nice ! I have met & greeted quite a few .....I'm terrible with names but ...I do remember faces. It's really kewl to see the comraderie at meet & greets . I have enjoyed it alot and made some new subie friends.
