More mods.. I swapped the perrin alum. crank pulley from the outback to the foz . It's equivilant to taking 100lbs of the car ( though I should take care of my extra lbs...lol) quicker acceleration from idle to the powerband (4-6k). also a set of hella supertones(horns) as well...The foz only had one horn...Stock.. I'll post photos soon...photobucket maintainence..doh...

scoobyclimbs replied to one eye's topic in Meet n' Greet. Your USMB Welcome Center
I'm game.. I sold my goods at wcss7 as well... I hate shipping items.. I prefer a special area ...perhaps a time too...while the judging of the show would be good... no tables...a box will do on a blanket....lol.. Besides who wants to hual / move tables... -
Are we not up to date on the headgasket issue yet.. Most rigs have been updated and done over ten years ago...I would not worry about headgaskets so much now.. My rig is 14yrs old.. with year old hg's on...not worried about it abit..it's got 180k on the motor .. why are there so many 97-99 rigs still on the road..? Hg were done a decade ago..nuff said.. I see more ej22 legos in the junkyard than ej25 rigs.. All the rebuilders get the ej25 rigs and fix/sell them...

a couple short vids taken by my 8yr son...as I was clearing blowdown out to get to this awesome campspot.. @ Mt.Hood . No one had set foot there since winter.. Who needs an axe or saw..? It's the new way to do "forest'er" management.. click on the first two pics to view vids.

I just installed it with rear camber bolt as well ..I just head down to the alignment shop right after.. I just took the pics as I had just fin..the lift and it was around the corner of the shop..as the sun was setting... cv's are not an issue...only at 3"lift will you have problems..All the aussie folks can verify on www.offroadsubarus.com The driveline is at stock level.. the diff. hasn't changed it's relationship..only the cv's (I'll assume that's what you were addressing..) my outback has the same lift of 2.5" and zero issues..for years now..

They are stock tires 205/70R15 I have a set of 215/75R15 bfg a/t's (27.7" dia) I can bolt on now.. Mud terrains will be on soon enough..

Note: only S model foresters came with a rear LSD...so look for those..

the rear was done using '03 SG struts, kings springs KSRR-33, Paranoid fabrications 1" strut spacers(HDPE) '02-07 impreza. Note: some chamfering required to fit strut tops. camber bolts from primitive Lower position.. Front lift is stock struts, king springs KSFR-32, primitive 1/2" strut spacers(HDPE) stacked. I now have 12 1/2" at the pinch welds(factory jack up points ) 11 1/2" rear diff. 9 3/4" at front skid plate. I also swapped my cargo basket from the outback (temporary)

I know both rigs well.. I have a couple friends with sidekicks ..great rigs but grossly underpowered.. Much more capable , better flex, storage room sux.. I just bought a forester...I love it...It's lifted now... The forester can be easily swapped to a older dual range trans with and adapter plate.. I like the auto 4eat and 4.44final drive. The forester is great for hi speed stuff...mileage about 19-25...less with bigger tires,lift.. The subarus unibodies are pretty tough....you really have to abuse the hell out of them..I've seen jeep cheerokees take alot of abuse as well.. The forester has better cargo room and handling than the sidekick. I think the safety rating is higher as well. the best advice is beef up what ever your gonna abuse the most..Speed and air = $$$ and downtime...

half lifted...I did the rear strut lift... I have 12 1/4" at pinch weld in front of the rear tire. The rear diff I have 11 1/2" now... I'll finish the front tonight..

I think a turbo baja would be perfect..! DMS struts, BFG A/T's an offroad bumper, rollbar , plenty of easy access for gear..Much like a dakar or baja rally car. I've yet to see a baja built right yet and used it like the baja name suggest... I've only seen a one baja set up for Oregon trail rally, and one at last years WCSS13 with offroad bumpers.. -
about $430 set of four springs, 1.5" is correct.

a few upgrades yesterday.. I found an '02 am/fm weatherband cd player for $30 What to do with all those 80's cassettes...? lol I painted the grille black with bumper paint. Also a set of 15" steelies. King springs are on order, HDPE 1" strut spacers as well.
