  1. Best part for me is its half a mile away from my house. I just moved so I havent looked at the hill yet but will be getting there this week end! Come on all you northeast suby lovers lets put this little town on the map as the subaru capitol of the northeast! Im going to call the local news station and see if they can get us some covarge on the tube. Will also have my vid camera and put it on You tube!
  2. Weatherly is close to Harrys u pull it in Hazelton , So anyone needs parts their 10 miles away. I have the advantage of practice for the next 2 months so be prepared to meet this years winner, ME! Lets try to make it a mini meet.
  3. I just moved into a new town in PA called weatherly in carbon county 9 miles south of Hazelton. So now the great news! Twice a year they have a Subaru hill climb! HOW COOL! The next one is september 15 and 16th. One day is for foreign cars and the other for American cars. Im there dude!
  4. Didnt get to pick it up yet but yea he told me the same thing. Sounded like a younger kid. Cant wait to get it and with 150k on the clock how could i go wrong. He said he is second owner and it came from nebraska. Probaly why it dosent have much rust.
  5. The kid said it was a five speed, find out tommorow.
  6. As soon as I pick it up i will get more pics. Has very little rust on the bottom of the doors and a little in bed.No jump seats or cap but hey I have wanted a brat for 20 years now:lol: He said it might need a clutch , I hope just an adjustment 5 speed D/R. That would be an EA 81 right? It will replace My wagon that got hit by a deer:mad:
  7. http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/car/345868094.html Needs a clutch and has very little rust. got it for $1000. Did i do good?
  8. I did take the trim off and thats how I noticed that the whole piller is moved back about 1/4 inch. It did rain like heck last night but didnt leak!
  9. We all knew you could do it! nice going! They are great to learn on. And tough to!
  10. We would just put stuff in three layers of tinfoil and rap it up real well and drive for like 2 hours for a steak!
  11. A slide hammer wont do it because it pushed the piiler back to and the out side is real soft metal. I took it to a bud of mine that has a body shop and he is the one that told me a slide hammer wont do it, that it needs to be cut out and replaced. He did try the slide hammer but since it is so soft and rinkled the way it is it just ripped a small hole in the metal. Oh she will live on. my brother is going to put the work into it. Im moving to another state so it would just be dead weight to tow it 500 miles and with gas prices they way they are it just isnt worth it. I cant beleive I just said that. Strange thing is that my Hororscope on that day said its time to give up somthing that you hold dear to your heart, it may be a car you have had for a while. I would sell it to one of you guys or girls but I owe my bro money so it goes to him. At least she will still be in the family.
  12. Well the way it dented the only fix would be to cut it out and with the rust around the winsheild and the rear quarter rusting it wont be worth the $400 to get it fixed at a shop and i have no welder or $ to buy one so it looks its time to put this old beauty to rest. Im going to give it to my brother and buy a legacy wagon. I have had some great times in this old girl, crossing creeks In AZ up to the headlights, moving back to PA with it with 800 pounds of stuff in it and a bad carb, floating through 2 feet of snow with rain tires. So now in a month or two when the inspection runs out it will be time to say goodbye to Drangonfly. It will be a sad day indeed because it will be 4 years next week that i bought her. She just hit 21 this month to :( Ive gota go now because I dont want you all to see a grown man cry.
  13. That was super nice of him to do that for you:banana: Now if only I could find someone to give me a body for my engine.
  14. Yes could we get some better pics. Now that my wagon is probaly shot im looking for another sube.
  15. It has a hole between piller and window that i can slide my flat hand up to my knuckles in.If you inlarge the one pic you can see it.
  16. So does any one think this could be fixed? I know the rear window can be fixed but what about the piller?
  17. On my way home a deer jumped out in front of a truck going the other way, he hit and it flew up took my side mirror out bent the piller between the front and back doors, put a dent in the rear door where the handle is (door still opens) put a few dings in the dack piller and shattered my left side rear window and tore some trim near lift gate. I will have pics soon and I will need to know if it can be fixed.
  18. I had a 82 gl sedan 2wd that the fuel pump went out on me in the middle of nowhere. So i took the windshield washer pump off and hooked it to the fuel line and hit the washer button to fill the carb to run the engine. every few minutes I would just hit the button and fill the carb back up. I went three day like that untill I got a new pump, also snapped a clutch cable one time and held it together with vise grips.
  19. You know I have wire nuts in the car but didnt think of that.
  20. Thanks i orderd one today wont be here untill wed or thur, so untill then i took more of the case off and pulled the wire back to the carb and tied a not in it untill i can replace it. The way I have it rigged i could probaly get another 10k out of it.
  21. Your right i ment when the valves float. when i had the carbed 86 block they would float at 6000, now with the carb on the spfi block i havent taken it up past 6800 because i dont want to break something. Im sure it would go to 7200
