Go to a different tire dealer then. I have used Blizzaks for years on Subaru's. Just remember they are a winter tire not a performance tire. I am pretty sure you wont be taking this vehicle up to 130 mph. Beginning in 1991, the speed symbol denoting a fixed maximum speed capability of new tires must be shown only in the speed rating portion of the tire's service description, such as 225/50R16 89S. The most common tire speed rating symbols, maximum speeds and typical applications are shown below: L 75 mph 120 km/h Off-Road & Light Truck Tires M 81 mph 130 km/h Temporary Spare Tires N 87 mph 140km/h P 93 mph 150 km/h Q 99 mph 160 km/h Studless & Studdable Winter Tires R 106 mph 170 km/h H.D. Light Truck Tires S 112 mph 180 km/h Family Sedans & Vans T 118 mph 190 km/h Family Sedans & Vans U 124 mph 200 km/h H 130 mph 210 km/h Sport Sedans & Coupes V 149 mph 240 km/h Sport Sedans, Coupes & Sports Cars

Do EA82s have igniters like the EJ cars have. I had a 1977 Toyota that had an igniter. When it would get hot it would quit running and wouldn't start until it cooled off, It would still spark when it was hot but a very weak spark. Replaced the igniter and it never did it again. I forget what they call it but EAs have a little thing like a coil in the distributor. Some kind of pick up coil. It could be that heating up and causing a bad spark situation. Also kind of sounds like vapor lock.

I still haven't figured out what is wrong with mine. I just learned to fill it real slow. Sucks taking 10 minutes to fill the tank.

Depends on who is doing the job. Most garages charge by the book which can run into the thousands depending on hourly rate. If you look around and find a small independent work shop that does that kind of work for a fixed amount you can get them down into the Hundreds of dollars for labor and parts. Try to find a mom and pop garage that knows Subaru's.

Your brakes are shot!. Replace both sides with the kit they have on Rock auto. When you change the brakes and rotors inspect the pistons to be sure they are not leaking or sticking. Also inspect the slides and grease them.
