  1. I have used Vinegar and baking soda as a flush in an EA82. It worked pretty well but make sure to flush well with clean water.
  2. I wouldn't buy a new Chrysler product if you payed me to. Go do some research on the 9 speed auto trans in them.
  3. Im no expert but I know they sell different colored boots for most cars with Racks so they should be replaceable. Have the dealer Or a garage you trust put it up on a lift and show you why the rack is bad besides the boot. If its sloppy or jumpy like its grinding when they turn it chances are the rack is bad. If you search there maybe rebuild kits for racks.
  4. With that many miles depending on how long that boot was ripped then the rack could be bad because of all the contaminates that got in to the rack. The racks on these car aren't to hard to change and a lot of junkyards will have them. http://www.car-part.com/
  5. Try Ebay but stay away from any outfits that sell them in Miami. They have a very bad rep.
  6. On my 94 Grand Cherokee I can just take the front drive shaft out, Don't cost a cent except my time. Could never figure out why someone would want to change a perfectly good drive train that will give you better handling in awd to rear 2wd with worst handling. You can still drift in an awd Subaru.
  7. Yeah I didn't want to sound cruel but it is considered bad internet etiquette to ask for money on an internet forum.
  8. How much $? What size engine? Why a new subframe? Do You know the maintenance history. Was it driven hard or did they baby it. Need to know stuff like that before we can give an opinion. Also with that many miles on the engine it is close to do the timing belt if it hasn't been done since the engine was installed.
  9. I have used copper on cooling systems in the past with no ill affects. Old heater cores were copper and even my 94 jeep has copper lines going to the heater core. But as said if the part is cheap enough just buy it.
  10. I just looked at that pipe on my 2.5. looks to be about 1/2 inch in diameter. I would just get a 1/2 inch copper water pipe then cut it to the length you need.
  11. Cant help you with the heads but the EJ2.2 will bolt to that tranny as long as the engine is a first generation 2.2. As for converting from 2wd to Awd buy an Awd Subaru.
  12. I am an OLD jeep fan myself, own a 94 grand Cherokee, It is a great vehicle with over 220k on the 5.2 engine. You couldn't pay me to take a new jeep. junk from the ground up.
  13. Did it over heat before pump and stat replacement? If not then the stat just may be the problem. It is the cheapest easiest first step to see if it is the problem.
  14. Take that crappy fail-safe thermostat out. They are junk! Rock auto has the good stant that is like oem for $10. STANT Part # 48457
  15. Sounds like snake oil to me. They know that only about 10% of the people it doesn't work for will ask for a refund. Then they make up all kinds of BS excuses not to refund your money. Does it say "money back" or does it say credit at store on the bottle?
  16. I used restore on a 1979 Dodge slant six that would smoke on start up. Within 100 miles it stopped smoking.
