I think you still have a vac leak. Run through it again, what vac lines do you have attached to the intake? I would start by removing the lines and capping the ports, one at a time. beyond that, carb cleaner or propane gas works great for finding leaks.

Wrong. The rear camber has nothing to do with ride height. If you have bad rear camber, then something is bent. The camber (for all intensive purposes) is fixed, and does not change as the suspension cycles. The front is a whole different story.... camber changes all the time, as the suspension loads and unloads.

Thanks guys. Sooner or later Ill be able to update this. Im buried in a few projects right now, so this build is still on hold. This GL will be getting this built EA81 and 5-speed swap done before winter though :cool: Right now the shop is occupied by my flatbed Powerstroke. The flatbed is getting modified and rebuilt in preparation of a HUGE project I have coming up this winter. A custom camper build crazy, right? -
If you are stuck on 13's, Id suggest some Hankook Zovac's for winter Im running a studded set of them for winter duty, and it turns my GL into a damn snow-mobile. The rest of the year I run a set of Mastercraft AS/IV's Nothing special, but they have decent tread, seem to be wearing well, and are quiet for everyday driving. So far they have proven pretty tough for light off road (forest service roads and such)

What all vac lines do you have on it? Running an EGR?

Told ya. Always adjust timing with dizzy vac line unplugged and capped. Regardless of ported vac source or not, if the engine is running, there is a bit of vac on that line. And if the Carb isnt tuned properly and the throttle plate isnt closed all the way, you will have a good amount of vac. And youve got more tuning to do if you have a significant dead spot when the secondary opens. At what RPM did you set the timing at? Now that you have the timing close, you should start from scratch with a weber tune. Best lean idle.

I did a few things... Topped off fluids, installed new radiator, rewired the AC fan to an adjustable thermoswitch for better slow speed cooling, gave it a wash and wax... And accessorized... I installed my very first sticker. I HATE stickers, but this one is fitting for this Subaru. It gets us to our trail heads for backpacking, and Hyperspud is a kick rump roast locally owned business in town that I love endorsing. Ready to roll for next weekends trip.

It happens. The guy rebuilding it probably never bench bench tested the dizzy module before installing.

The exact reason I retrofitted the factory aircleaner onto my weber'd EA81 You wont find better filtration than a large paper element inside that aircleaner

Nice upgrade Our next rig will be a brand new 5-door. Well.... the WIFES next rig will be a new 5-door. I really like the impreza chassis too. It is the perfect size.

Next up was a zero mileage rebuild of a second hand ea81 Hydro motor. The motor in this car runs real well, but it has issues I cannot ignore. So Im running it until I have the time to swap it out. Thanks guys. One of mt main goals is when performing mods, to do them in a manner that look as OEM as possible. Next up was my solution to the lack of an aux input for the radio/sound system I worked out the wiring on the factory radio, and wired in an aux in. At the same time I installed an oil PSI gauge and driving lamp switch. Thread on the forum for this mod is here: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=127418 All worked into the ash tray slot. Unfortunately, I am very unhappy with this particular gauge. I picked it up for the green backlighting, but it is way too dark to see during the day. I hope to replace it with a green digital gauge soon. Like this one:

Yep, available thru parts houses. I do most of my shipping at Rockauto. Im running a A1-Cardone unit in mine. Seems to be doing fine. Ive got about 30k on it now. About $120 http://www.cardone.com/Products/Product-Detail?productId=31810&p=rock Im pretty sure the EA82 units are totally different

No new ones. All are re-mans, which is fine. They use the original case and shaft, all else is new. I did price a NEW one from Subaru a few years ago... It was discontinued, but they could still give me the MSRP. It was nearly $700:D

new disty. Sorry. You "can" re-bush the one you have, but it takes considerable work and needs some specialized tools.

Not going to hurt any to tear it apart. Only your time. Id pull the heads and inspect the cylinders to see just how bad it is.
