  1. i was replaced oil pan gasket and main shaft rear seal while i was removed automatic transmission. when i was test starting for engine's on and there's badly as pour oil. i found it out there have bad sealant from rear oil pan gasket because i was put on rubber sealant on the both of gasket oil pan.. so, 2nd time same thing removed the automatic transmission and buy other Fel-Pro oil pan gasket. so, i put the sealant under the gasket on the oil pan before install it...BUT there still leaky like a dripping... so, i just had a removed the transmission for my three times and tell me... please tell me any advised for right way for replaced oil pan gasket OR just use the sealant on it without gasket...that's what Subaru's technology said? also i just buy new inch pound torque.
  2. valve guides and or rings is worn out... try check compression tester.
  3. do repaired oil pan gasket on Ej22 ro Ej25 or so? there's impossible removed oil pan without hoisit jack, jack lever floor for tranny and engine. tell me how to tricky for new gasket on the oil pan?
  4. someone people who dont have a engine hoist for Ej20 and Ej25 etc... so, im going tech you for replaced oil pan gasket... *only you need two mini floor jack lever and one of 3 ton jack hydraulic floor. *just removed four bolts between on the engine and automatic and get a out with the crow bar...replaced rear's main shift seal and oil pan gasket. put on the trans-axle for the jack, removed transmission and dont forget input seal ring. and do removed oil pan gasket use the cut off the board wood with two mini jack floor make you easy move and carries. :cool: huge Semi-automatic (3-foot long than EJ25's transmission) yep, we did try 2nd time for replace oil pan gasket in 3 days.
  5. give me a advise for replace timing belt on the double ohc. i really want try replaced timing belt on the EJ25. it's hard for replace timing belt than i thought? (compare of EA82/EJ22)
  6. yes, i did 360* for inner belt and i did other 360* for outter belt. i think i need to make be perfectly on the alignment on the sprocket. i did put pump into the lasher adjuster before install...it's very soft than old harder..
  7. need a really perfectly alignment from inner and outer timing belt?
  8. hello, my outback running is pretty good and everything is fine. my miles said 240K... sometime when i tired to starter like a stalling when im waiting for couple min later get turn on.. mostly of i turn on for often. but sometime problem starter wont get turn on, u know? new battery, wire, sparks... (need new coil or what?)
  9. i have a 87 EA82 OCH with FI 4wd(3.900)....i've been rebuilding gasket kits. *Headgasket...i did 3 step torque from Hayne book. from the beck gasket. *Timing belt...i did follow the internet *new; spark, battery, lasher, rocker-arm, manifold gasket. *wire, rotor, cup and alternator is new from couple years ago. ~~~coil, distributor, starter motor and valve is older but should be fine? check out my recently video if you know what sound is? so,tell me whats wrong? i did put jumper cable, check the sparking. seem gas into??
  10. my subaru outback said that P205/70R15? so, can fit the snow tires' 185/65/R15 on outback? i need to know before i buy. thanks.
  11. no wonder my alternator was 11 VDC. i was buy outback 96' cost $750 and she told me have been problem starter and wanna sell for it... i've been replaced, spark, wire, timing belt, battery, starter motor was passed and fuse is good. yea, it's time to replace alternator. but it's alot cost.
  12. well, i cant driving...my outback just still stay from my home. i think its time to replace alter. if not...what you think need replace?? coil or eh?
  13. my outback is automatic trann yes, when i was driving like as easy, there is high RPM (3,000RPM and change gear) than before. Also rpm/mph was shake up, down, up, down and shut down..theres wont tell us how much mph and rpm on dashboard.
  14. when i was buy new battery and driving for couple days. One day; i drove and notice that ABS 'on' into the dashboard for no reason...Also there already 4 times flash as quickly on the dashboard too? so, i going to pull over and turn off the engine. and then i tried turn on the engine there's WONT start like a death.. there's have a low dim light on the dashboard...(look like low battery) but i already replaced new battery.?! so, i use jump cable on my new battery box, dashboard's light is brighter and there no ABS on. BUT...when i was take off and driving to back home and got problem starter, wont running, still there low dim light on the dashboard like a nothing?! should i replace alternator? Really, i was testing alternator was passed RIGHT BEFORE old battery?
  15. 1996 outback subaru wagon 2.5L so, pleasee give me any GOOD links for replace rear wheel. i need to know how much torque ft lb and etc..
  16. my scale tool told me...Knock sensor failed. so, thats why problem for starter, flashing light on dashboard and abs lock?
  17. well, my alternator is passed also battery even new sparks and wire. there wont show how much mph and rpm even gas guage. No light on dashboard during night time. but my outback had problem starting sometime. but ill going to get scan tool on tomorrow..
