  1. Lol. It is geometry and there is a reason everyone cuts the strut extensions at 14-15 Degrees. I have seen pictures of wagons with bad camber problems. easier to ask then build one wrong and have to cut more steel. I am doing EA82 Control Arms and 10.5 31"s. As well as building a frame for it. I want it to be a big wagon. I have access to a full machine shop including a laser cutter. Already drew up the Diff drop plate and strut extension plates in draft site. and cutting everything this week. I want it to be a nice lift. So if there is anything you guys can help me with it would be much appreciated. Gotta learn somewhere right?
  2. How many degrees should I cut the strut extensions at for an EA81 8" Lift? I have searched but all I can find is 8" EA82 Wagons.
  3. Aww man. That will be a sad day. Yeah Ill have to come get the specs.
  4. Ok I've got that much down. But its 6" on the inside of the strut tower right?
  5. Woah! Mugs is that down in spokane's ORV Park? I have seen so many of those frozen lakes with cars stuck in them haha.
  6. I dunno if I posted this before. I was going to see if there was someone that could help me out with a lift. I live in Spokane and have all the steel for the lift but I need dimensions on the cuts for a 6" Lift. I have scoured the forums in search for specs. I have a bunch of 6x2 inch steel and I was going to cut 12 of those at 2 inches a piece. Sound right? And for the strut towers here is a pic. I really want to get my soob lifted but I am broke right now as I am saving money for a wedding. I don't know which part is suppose to be 6 Inches either. If anyone can help that would be great. I need dimensions as well. I have an 84 Subaru Wagon I would be willing to trade for help/trade for a lift also. Just let me know. Here is a pic of the wagon I would trade. Seats are destroyed. Needs an engine. Let me know if interested.
  7. Well not pics but how about a video? I bought it off subafly for $100 dragged it home. stuck another engine and swapped a few parts and I only have about $250 including my transferr fees, tabs, tune up, and new heater hoses. Win?
  8. Oh YEAH!!! 3rd Gen Ludes are the only Honda's I will ever drive. I have an 89 Si that I daily drive and my Soob is my is my offroad toy/ winter driver. But anyhow welcome to the board. Oh and don't forget it has one the the FIRST and LAST fully mechanical 4WS systems in any car ever made, handled better than most cars of its time and better than most cars made nowadays. w00t and 89 wins =) I have yellow fogs.
  9. Hey man If ya want some help with your soob let me know as well.

  10. Alright guys... So I was wondering if anyone had specs for lift blocks. I am planning to do 2x2x6 Blocks and just tie them all together with 1x2 or 2x2 Tube. Also planning on boxing them all in too. Ive been checking out the forums searching for exact specs to drill the holes for the blocks but I can not find anything. Should I just drill them all right in the center? As well what are the od dimensions for the strut tower pipe? I have 5 1/2 inch od pipe to use. Too big? could you use square tube or no? And its a 22 degree angle cut right? Cut it like /=/ or like this /=\? As well I need the specs for the plates that go in between and the dimensions. It would go alot quicker to cut everything at once. I have access to a full machine shop and don't have a whole lot of cash otherwise id just buy a sjr lift. I have a 1/4 inch thick and 5.5 od pipe i was going to use for the struts. Sorry for all the questions I just really want to get my soob lifted asap.
  11. Yeah, I got it on there last night and it wasn't too hard either. We cut the old bumper mounts off and welded a 5" 2x1 tube into the groove for the bumper mount. It fit nice and flush. Then we held the bumper in place with a jack stand where we wanted it and tack welded the bumper to the mounts. Took it off and welded it up for good. Anybody ever attached a hitch to a bumper like that? Ill post pics when I get the front bumper on. My plans are to build a winch plate on a hitch that way I can mount it on the front or the rear.
  12. Awesome!!! We need to get a wheelin crew together here in Spokane!!! Im up on the Northside and am in the works of a lift right now. Let me know if ya need any help wrenchin on it.
