  1. Here’s another question concerning the temp sensor. With the motor running, a test lamp across the power side of the temp sensor connector should light up, correct?
  2. No Check engine light and so I didn't check for codes. So, based on your helpful comments it looks like I have some more checking to do this weekend. I'll post results. Thanks!
  3. Hello! Your expertise needed here. My soob is an 88 GL Wagon, 4wd, manual, single port fuel injected. Lately I’ve been having some cold start issues. In the past when I started it in cold conditions the motor would rev right up and stay rev’d up until I started driving. It won’t do that now. Also, when the engine is cold and I’m slowing to a stop and push in the clutch, the motor dies. However, once the motor is at running temp it runs like a champ, no problems. I have replaced the following items to no avail: both temp sensors, the air control valve, the egr valve and both solenoid valves. The pcv valve tested good and the air flow meter tested good. I also checked for air leaks in the intake and the egr hoses. So, I don’t know where next to look. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks! Ross
