I guess, I mean I'm not familiar with your market but that's just the figure I popped in my head when I took a look. RX sedans are definitely a rare breed, but I just feel like our cars aren't really that valuable. Maybe you'll have the right person come by though and get 4,I certainly hope you do don't get me wrong lol. For that kind of money id probably go for something like this though http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/147293-fs-91-loyale-wagon-ej-5sp-dr-five-lug/?do=findComment&comment=1242886 Either way, I wish you the best of luck with the sale!

Help me save my 93 Loyale
l75eya replied to Pancake Pops's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I have the exact same car, 93 fwd Loyale, automatic. I have no problem keeping up with traffic. I even get 2nd gear tire chirp when it's to the floor. You're not pushing the gas pedal far enough. It also helps to manually shift. When you're at a stop light pop it into 1. Accelerate, hit two when you're ready, then d for 3rd. Could use another gear for the highway but it's not that big a deal. I would like to direct you to exhibit A. http://i995.photobucket.com/albums/af77/perpetuallynumb/0714121444.jpg -
Honestly, think it's way over priced. I'd ask for maybe 2,500 obo. My .02 though, maybe you will get lucky.

Intermittent "clack/scrape" from rear wheel loyale
l75eya replied to joe5's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I just redid the entire rear brakes on my GL. New wheel cylinders, springs, clips, shoes, and hard line. Total cost was in the $60-70 range. Well worth it. -
So most likely there is nothing I can do to make it sound like this all the time save for expensive exhaust system changes? I am Jack's disappointment. :-(

Bump, bump, bump it up.

Intermittent "clack/scrape" from rear wheel loyale
l75eya replied to joe5's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I had sounds like that that came and went when my rear axle were falling apart. The circlip inside the diff end holding the axle in the cup was gone and under certain type of suspension situations (full extension, such as under hard cornering, pulling the axle to the end of the cup) it would make a noise. If your boots are in good shape you may have to undo them to check if you want to be sure. The advice about the drums having broken springs is a good place to check too. -
So I've been wondering about this for awhile now; maybe somebody on here can come up with a definitive answer on this I'm wondering why my exhaust note changes as my car warms up... To cover all bases it's a Webber-ized ea82 No exhaust leaks (except what slips past the quarters in the asvs) first factory resonator still installed Cat delete Straight pipe to the back and out through a 2" or 2 1/2" (can't remember) magnaflow muffler It's a tad loud but I think it sounds good, however it sounds REALLY good when the car is not quite fully warmed up Here is a brief clip I have on my google drive, you'll have to download it. It's virus free i assure and a simple .mp3 format I attached it directly to this post, as well. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6XbdS8OXVmbUjlMUkx1cW5ZM0E/edit?usp=sharing You can hear that really awesome subaru snarl when the gas is let off when revving it up. It's that specific snarl that happens when you let off the accelerator that I'm really keen on, and I think it sounds fantastic Only thing is that my car only really does it when the motor is not fully warmed up!!! When it's fully warmed up, that little burbly snarl is gone and it just sounds the same way it revs down when it revs up! No more burble. I want that burble all the time. That burble is the truth. subiegrowl.mp3

can you take a close picture of the steering wheel? And welcome! Nice Subaru!

Ben has hit 100,000 miles! Still basically trouble free, too!

I throw a box wrench on one of the bolts on the flywheel, slowly rotate the engine until the wrench is up against the view hole edge and then lay on the torque. I'm sure I got way past 100 ft/lbs on the crank bolt.

Does anybody know which relay in the fuse box inside a Loyale controls the ignition? When my Loyale won't start (intermittent occurence.) there's a click from the fuse box and a click from the starter under the hood. All wires and grounds under the hood check out. Ignition switch itself is good. I want to replace that relay and see if that might help. Maybe I can swap the one from my GL to the Loyale to see if that makes any difference?

Did you install the convex washer and the cone washer correctly? The washer that goes over the cone washer doesn't get installed either way, there's a specific side to have "out". It should be marked if you look carefully. Also; Is your brake caliper loose perhaps? If you have car ramps, pull up on those and slide underneath and start grabbing things and trying to move them. You might get lucky and find something that has play in it that shouldn't

EJ22 - Is it really "All That" ?
l75eya replied to BirdMobile's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
First are you good friends? Because if you do the trade you may not be for much longer. Ea82t is one of the worst Subaru motors whereas the 2.2 and ej18 are the best. -
EA-82 Weber Conversion - How I Did Mine
l75eya replied to BirdMobile's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Ah! Noted. My mistake. -
Also, there could be some air in the cooling system. The best way to fill it is to pull the front end of the car on to something so the nose is up in the air. You want the car to be at an angle. Then fill it up as much as possible with it not running. Start it up with the cap off, keep filling and keep burping the air out by squeezing the pass side hose. wait for it to get up to temp and if it starts to push back out you should be able to pull the throttle open a bit and that should lower the coolant level enough for you to put the cap on. Once you have the cap on, add some more coolant to the resevoir.

EA-82 Weber Conversion - How I Did Mine

Ha! Backwards! Hey man, I give you credit, to each their own. If it works in the end, that's all that matters! The only thing I'd comment on is the permatex, as it doesn't play well with petroleum, I'd use what another user on here, Jes-Zek, suggests; shellac. Nice way to think outside the box! -
1994 Loyale 4WD Transmission Swap Automatic To manual
l75eya replied to Kraig's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I've heard you have to fabricate your own carrier bearing for the driveshaft but that might only apply to going from front wheel drive to four wheel drive so.... I'll be quiet now.. -
