  1. Well occasionally fern and I go on space flights. Yet that's not public knowledge till now.
  2. "-removed front sway bar, car has no rear bar (nice n slinky on the trails not bad on the road)" been driving like like this for one year. i rarely drive on the freeway, arround town is no problem. I would not want to swerve hard at 60 so I don't...(Neither do the jeep folks)... I drive nice n steady, usually with an "out of towner" tailgating me. Deer are running out in the road everywhere lately as they got driven in to town by hunters. They hang in the peoples front yards. Got all the parts collected for the rear lift... just need to prime and paint the extensions Scott fixed up then install. Waiting for a sunny mountain day. Thanks so much Scott, you've been so busy with that new rig and its exciting to see the build
  3. Nice to see fern has donated to the project! awesome scott!
  4. I love the colour . We need to start a lifted impreza crew! got a name for you car?
  5. A little unspoken fact about fern until now: fern has been running with no suspension lift this whole time (body lift equal to strut lift) scott built her as a daily and wanted stock telemetry. Her rear struts are the stock fwd impreza, outback fronts. I purchased some rear outback struts and had Scott at SJR lift make me four new strut lift tubes. these were both 6.5 lift front and rear..(+1in from outback struts making 1.5in total) I got all the stuff the other day, decided to do rears first to find... - my tires rub on the spring perch. (Km2 28s) - the outback strut is almost 1 in shorter then the 2wd! Scott let me send him the rears back to extend them 1.5in as the car sat only .5 in taller in the rear with outback struts and extra 1.5in of strut lift! (I want the rear a bit taller than the front for loading on trips) So I can now swap rear struts in 1.5 hr. Alone.. stock 2wd and lift is in rears till I get my extended ones. these tires bearly rubbed so I have 1in spacers on the way aswell. all this for a stiffer spring rate is still worth it. Those 2wd struts and springs make it look like I have hydraulics especially with the bumper/winch weight. If I drive foreword the butt drops, backwards an she shoots the moon!!! Lol. i love the front now. Just one and a half inch suspension lift is noticeable. pics to come when rears are all in! have a look under the hood. everyone seems to have a "lift color" this is mine... Thanks for lookin!
  6. Should be bolted up front, tack welded sides, and welded to the rear block on next Monday. Got a lot done today.
  7. Cliff lake today! Had alittle skid bashin but not anything to worry about. i love my home. Just replaced both botom grade 8 Allen bolts to the skid... Skidplate is the best investment yet.
  8. Took fritz for a little trail run today...
  9. Thanks man i like her new look and having the winch in there aswell. the 1.8 is still pullin me arround ok, 2.2 is on the wish list. Monday im gonna start the slider project..... some tubing bolted/welded behind the seem welds then weld to that bar for some rear trailing arm sliders.
  10. Snug as a bug! Had to pry the top piece of the bumper to pop the winch in.
  11. Here we go! Why hello beastie.. Winch will be installed soon. Led blinkers to fit will be on soon aswell. Slider tubes in the planning stages!
  12. perfection takes time.... bumper should ship to me soon. planning on installing the bumper and my winch next monday now... fixed a little transmission leak, just had a lose drain plug. I added spacers to the front of the skid plate to give me a gap between oilpan and plate.
  13. got alittle muddy... crossed a creek and hit a rock center with the oil pan..now my skidplate sits touching the pan..theres a nice pad in there so no biggie. No bent or broken parts on this run (except skid plate)... Justin is shipping my bumper this week.
  14. Just got my winch in the mail. Moto alliance is great so far! I sent them a pic of fern ao they could see what there winch was gonna pull. They automatically realized I'm gonna need the dash switch instead of the handle bar switch. They swapped out the bar for the dash and did not even tell me. I was already looking at spending 50 bucks on one! I'm happy. Justin at HTI is almost finished with my bumper... You guys are gonna trip when u see it.
  15. thank you for the pic man! it will help. viper elite 5000 wide spool will be here friday HTI front bumper should be on by mid next month. then on to the sliderz!
  16. I was going to have sliders bolted to the lift blocks that went over the rear trailing arm blocks. Kinda like butters but full sliders.
  17. Now I have a gen5 iPod. Pics will roll in at random..
