It will be open for the most part. Im going to have a button on rag top made for the roof for when the weather is bad and the doors will come on and off with the weather as well.

I havent been on here for ever but im still playing with my subie. She is looking a lot different now then before.Ive removed the rear of the wagon and most of the roof. Its getting: Full cage Custom bumpers Lights Roof rack basket Winch Lifted 30" Tires Frankenmotor Snorkel Custom exhaust Built in air compresser Second battery Higher amp alt Here is a few pics of the progress. Ive done a bit more to it since the last pic like cleaned up the roof line better and trimmed some more off the back

Wow i havent been on here in a while and was starting to plan out a build like this last week with a legacy or impereza as the donor. I was going to remove the whole rear cross member, struts, and diff as one. Then do the same thing to the front end with the engine, trans, cross member and struts. Then weld up a buggy frame like you have between the front and rear cross member
-
well i got it split last night and it all looks good so far on the inside of the block. im going to get the rods off the crank tonight and ill try and make it out and drop it off to you this evening
-
Ya we can do that welding whenever
-
Rick im going to be tearing the engine down tonight. i think ill take you up on your offer to take the block to your guy and have the machining and parts ordered by him and ill assemble it all myself . ill try and make it out and drop it off to you tomorrow if you'll be around
-
i must have hit it lose on something and it vibrated out when i was driving in town later that night. it melted bearings to the crank and rods and snapped a rod in half which took a chunk of cylinder with it
-
ya im going to try sometime next week if i can get the motor back in time to get the D/R atleast test fitted so i can mount it when i have the extra cash to extend my driveline. ill be pushing it to try and get the car ready with atleast outback struts for the browns camp trip and i need really big wheel spacers cause my new tires hit the strut
-
ya i dont know if it was me hitting something that knocked the plug lose or the fact i didnt have a new crush washer but either way ive learned my lesson. New oem crush washer every time and check the plug after i go wheeling till i get a skid plate made. But on a good note i got a new engine last night and im going to tear it apart tonight and get it off to the machine shop tomorrow
-
Got a new engine yesterday thanks to Rick. Im starting to run out of room in my garage with so many parts building up. I think its time to see if i can store my fiero at my grandparents and free up the other side of my garage since its just sitting at the moment and get another work bench set up. Im going to get the engine torn apart after work today and get it off to the machine shop tomorrow im hoping

Well im in the market for a ej25 short block now. When my oil ran out it melted a bearing and snapped a rod and the broken rod destroyed the cylinder http://sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash4/s320x320/421640_330878883624652_100001076300962_970757_628100182_n.jpg http://sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash4/s320x320/426940_330810686964805_100001076300962_970660_1800728840_n.jpg

I will be now. I think I hit it lose on something when I was running some trails yesterday
-
Well after all of this prep to do the lift my oil plug has to go and fall out last night. Now i get to spend my tax money rebuilding this engine
-
Ok that's easy enough. I think I might go pick it up next week only going to cost $150 so that's cheaper than getting a cat back made at a shop

I need to find some rear outback struts with springs close to Portland
