I got some orange cleaner from wally world(I know I need to stop shopping there but its the only place open when I get off work) and some brushes, I am thinking this will be enough.

I am putting some used calipers on my 88 RX and I want to clean them before I put them on. what can I use? I don't want to take the rubber stuff off of them so I think that takes out brake cleaner.

I bet he is going to sell it -
arggg I don't want to mess up the lines on the parts car what about that bottom fitting? do I have to bleed that one to?
-
I thought nuke'ed the RX's today, I went to shift from 1st-2nd (in low) my hand hit the hi-low stick and something felt like it went, so I let out on the clutch and nothing, I try third notta. I shift it back in high (or normerl as I'm going to start calling it now) and it did fine, tried low agian all was good. I bumped the shift in between norm-low. I felt stupid................................. but U have to say with that hypoy C gear oil in it now (instead of the oil/water mix I drained out) it shifts SOOO much better, can't wait till I get some redline for it

I've always wondered why that was (not re-using the new fluid thats going thru the system) I'm not going to do it as I have 6 new bottles of DOT 4

Slotted rotors are becomming a reality+pads
JWX replied to WJM's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I will be interested in a set for my Rotary RX and maybe my hatch. that 110 for an axle set is that 2 pads or 4 cause we have 4 axles total. but I think if it was for 2 then you would have said per wheel.....................why am I still typing.... ................anyways like I said eariler I'd be interested. -
if it was rust/accident free and I had the money, I'd give him 2 grand for it. auto tranny and all.

ok so I tried searching for info on this and came up empty, so I apologize for being rude. but still this is the reason we need a FAQ for this forum

timing belts
-
do you new guys just refuse to search? must you make a new thread for a simple question? I mean we all were new once and all but still no it does not have a timing belt or chain, it uses gears. just like the EA-81, but the EA-82 does in fact use timing belts
-
the oil level is full, it started before I changed it. so its wasn't me, but its not really that loud, its just there and when my hatch starts with that stuff I just adjust the valves and it goes away. why wouldn't it be worth doing?
-
thats just wrong, that car(and every one like it) makes god cry
