  1. I don't think he was talking about the twin, just a DOHC.
  2. ok the measurement I got was right at 1 inch to the back of the crank. this is a 22e btw
  3. its really not worth trying...... BTW give me two shakes of a lambs tail and I'll be back with the depth.
  4. thanks for giving me a good Xmas laugh. you must be the smartest Mechanical Engineer in the firm.....I mean you must be an ME right?
  5. all very true, esp the last part :-\ and there you have the classic recpie for power.
  6. Honestly, I'm interested to hear your ideas, just like the ones in this thread. Granted I think most are completly wrong, but one learns most in discussion.
  7. if basicly if the heads flowed more then heating up the intake air charge wouldn't hurt anything?....................
  8. the biggest thing that both the EA81 and the EA82 have killing the power for them is the fact that the coolant crossover runs underneath the intake, thus heating up the air before it gets to the big bang chamber.
  9. is the rear suspension any different on a hatch than what would be found on a brat? I'm pretty sure they are the same, but the whiteline rear sway bar kit lists two different numbers for EA81s
  10. the tire wear sounds like toe wear, and the vibration sounds like a DOJ. I'm guessing that after you replaced the tie rod ends you didn't get an alignment, hence the tire wear. the string trick, should help with the wear though.
  11. ALL of my RX'es have gotten above 30 MPG on the interstate, my hatch got about 30 around town.
  12. if thats the gray one with everything cut out on the hood, I think that was actually in WA, I tried to find more info on that one. but couldn't find his email address.
  13. because its the worse swap in the history of swaps, and once agian IT RUNS, well atleast it did until the ignitor went bye-bye. there is the neat thing on the site BTW....its called the search feature.......
  14. maybe try some seafoam or B12 chem tool in the gas tank.
  15. how bad was the CTS connectors when you cleaned them? are they tight? did you pull the connector before you did the dist? go wiggle it and see what happens
  16. check the water temp sensor (the one for the ECU) although everytime there is an issue with them they usually throw a check engine light, this kinda sounds like what mine have done before.
