ok I put my bottomless intake tray in my RX(the bottom part of the intake box) and I took out the two snorkels (I guess thats what they were) one above the filter and the one below. it sounds sooo much better. but I forgot to plug in the MAF before I fired her up, did I do any damage? and where can I get the maf adapter for a cone filter?

if I was going to invest in something like this and didn't want any tickets. I'd look at the laser and radar jammers on the market -
sorry about that I wrote it at like 3:30am and was super tired. but I think I got my question across. I put a return spring on, and it doesn't really feel different. so does that that big spring at the top do more than just pull the pedal back?

I need more power!!!!!!!!!!
JWX replied to mountainbikeak's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
instead of looking like an rump roast, you should have searched. I mean you didn't tell us much, and you asked about more power. which comes up on here like three times a day. now if theres a problem with it like its really slow (like not keeping up with traffic) then there might be problem. like a clogged cat, I mean who knows you didn't provide us with much info. so tell us more -
ok in my 88 RX I was messing with it and I noticed it didn't have a hill holder cable on it, then I thought so it must not be grabing 100%. then I remembered when I drove it and it had no problems with the clutch or the pedal, and the pedal was kind of hard and high. so I look at the pedal box and there is a spring on there, that looks factory. but my other RX (89 the rotary one) doesn't it has one on the clutch fork. and my hatch (which is an EA-81 so it is prolly meant to be different) has the hill holder as the return spring, whoch is what I thought all of them are suposted to have, but the 88 has one on the pedal box. so does the EA-82s have two, or does the hill holder not do that on them?

why do you say it was Australian, Calebz? I thought it was Japanese and I couldn't find any info on it or any old Subaru race cars? (like the safari hatch) -

its a S4 13B six port, so far the only real mods I can see are the 5th/6th ports are glued open (at least I hope he didn't epoxy them closed), all the emissions crap it striped off of it. and here is the rest of the info on it (its old) http://cp_www.tripod.com/rotary/pg04.htm oh and the pics that are on that page is the ones that I have

God, is there anything you don't need back? Just messing with ya. Sorry I didn't send you a pm yet but I got real tired, awful fast (must have been hyped with adrenaline or something) but I'll send you after I finish this. Oh and I do have pics of the Rotary RX, but they're very old and it really doesn't look nice enough to take new ones yet :/ but when I get it running and painted I'll get some new ones up.
-
THEY ROCK YOUR SOCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! even stock this RX is the fastest car I've ever driven, can't want till I start modding it and man even with the rear end jacked up this thing can handle. I can't wait to get my Rotary RX running cause it should be faster still oh and I love the gear spacing of the tranny, except for 5th should be a little higher I think just for the highway.
-
well I'm home now, the 88 made it with out any drama. but man was the state patrol out, NC,SC, and GA. more in GA then anywhere thou. I'll make my own thread about my first turbo experince . oh and I"m pm'ing you after I get done with this stuff
