  1. man, if I was closer I'd come and help you. free grilled food, and I get to work on a sube, its like a dream deal, or something..
  2. so I guess just cut a hole and bolt'em down?
  3. Who put these on their subaru? I might have found a set, and would like to see how they looked and see how you put them on.
  4. dude, go away......................................
  5. but WJM has done his home work, he didn't really convey that in the post that started this but he knows what he's doing.
  6. you can use the later (85-89 I think) EA-71 heads as those have the bigger vavles.
  7. I'm not going to argue this over with you, but I will say one last thing to you. The problem with you old race guys is that you say NEVER too much, you can not say that it won't happen. Have you met WJM? I have, if anybodys going to bulid this I would but money on the fact that he WILL build it. (Oh and did you mean the UltimateRX? Cause I thought you meant your project that you just completed, which is what you said after reading you post again)
  8. That's good for you Dr. RX, you took a car that already had an EJ, already had the better suspension, and you swapped engines did a little work here and there, and you came out under 6 grand. WJM wants his wagon to do that as well, which means he is going to have to build it differently. Which in turn means more money coming out of his pocket. I really see this coming out like all those 1000 horsepower Supras out there, fun but some what unreilably. But who knows nobodys ever built an EA-82T like this
  9. I really think that the stock system is what limits these engines, I wonder what a stock engine would do with an aftermarket ECU system? (doesn't really matter which one) hmmmmm........maybe I should try it in my hatch?
  10. swap engines, you didn't say what car so I can't tell you what will fit(easily anyways)
  11. he means the sound of the engine, have you ever heard a Boxer 6? beautiful, just beautiful.
  12. 87 GL-10s should be SPFI, is there a big black oval thing on top of the engine?
  13. I haven't been able to find anything about it either, but I think it was a hatch that they entered. do you have any other pics? I'd love to see them
  14. can you take pics of them? it kind of sounds like they're the factory dual port heads that nobody has ever seen just heard about
  15. sounds like the seal between the front diff(is that the right term, guys?) and the tranny part of the transaxle is gone. I'd do a search on it, if I was you.
  16. well, I was just out for a drive and my hill holder was back to normal, it wasn't working. so never mind I guess.
  17. YES! I'm sure the cable is routed correctly (me and skip went round and round about this when I went to replace it). And the HH doesn't drag, (I’ve got no more drag then I used to have) it just holds on pretty much level ground. So that’s too tight then? And I think it was mentioned in HTKYSA that you should re-adjust them after a couple hundred miles. Not too mention it feels just like it did when I installed it now.
  18. Oh, didn't think about the shimming. thanks DR. RX
  19. why not just use silicone bends? seems easier to me (but not sure if you can, just thought I'd but it out there)
  20. I want to put Red line gear oil in my hatch (the syncros(sp) are messed up) but I'm not sure which one to get this one http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=RED-57104&N=120%20200236%20302334 , http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=RED-50304&N=120%20200236%20302334 or this one http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=RED-50304&N=120%20200236%20302334 I'm currently running Castrol HypoyC, one bottle of 75w90 and the rest is 80w90.
  21. right, I have the clutch adjusted how I like it. just seeing if I adjusted the HH to tight
