  1. ok thats what I wanted to know(if it would kick on with out the ac) guess not. I'll have to find some and wire them up. anybody have any suggestions"
  2. on my 87 GL-10 it had a mech. fan and the elec one, so when I did the head gaskets I just left off the mech and planed on using the elec one. so will the fan turn on when the temp gets to where it needs to be, or is it just an extra one for when the ac is on? will it pull enough air to cool the motor? thanks for looking
  3. ya but leave the disks on the diff, but I see what your saying would be nice thou all that ground clearance............getting way off topic now so I'll stop now.
  4. if I was going to use the hummer diff and stuff I'd I'd use the hubs too. but thats just me
  5. meeky ment push button 4WD, not power brakes. and the red looks cool I didn't think it would look that good but it does. how hard was it?
  6. why just stop at the EA-82 brakes go for the EJ series? there even bigger
  7. I would like to know on the power thing aswell:D
  8. I was reading over on the ausubaru board and they mention something about using the hyd lifter cam with soild lifters and it "screams". so what up with this anybody lookeds in to this? is this what people are talking about when they say "the brat cam"?
  9. is it losing power? if its just spewing oil could be the PCV stuff blocked up. but I'm no expert just trying to help
  10. how about the battery area? its the same between Brats and hatches, right?(all EA-81s except for turbos I'm thinking)
  11. I'm in, just let me know when. you wouldn't happen to know how far you live from say lake lanier?
  12. dude, do you have any info on that green brat with the EJ(not sure which one it is) motor in it? what about the wheels that are on the blue lifted brat? those look like 15's
  13. I bought one and it didn't do that much, but still a good battery none the less
  14. ya so.....the ones that are there and bad......... I think:rolleyes:
  15. why just include ea-82ts what about the 81ts I think if we branch off those should be included too
  16. I think I've decided what to do. just swap to an XT6 alt. no comes the part hunting
  17. anybody know what other cars alt fit on ours? I saw an auction on ebay for an early EA-81(81) alt and it said that it fit teh 240z,260z and some other ones, I've seen high amp alt for teh 240z before anybody know if they had the same connections on them as ours?
  18. ok, I have some more questions for you Skip. how hard was the coversion(like wiring) from what I read you have to change the wiring around a little bit and would the same write up work for the EA-81? and what about the Datsun alt that was brought up on the old board?
  19. ok I've been think about this for awhile now so I'm goign to ask the guys who have done this. Is it really worth it? I'm running a rebuilt one from advance auto (and I think its not doing its job anymore) its about a month old. I did it the same time I did my battery (which is an Optima) my volt gauge when I first start it up is 12, after I warm the car up it goes up slowly to 16-18 if I turn on the blower motor to full blast, the wipers on full, and the headlights; I can't really use the rear defrost cause in drags the volts down too much. (it might be normal but I don't like it) so should I step up to the XT6 alt? would it be worth the money for me to?(sorry for the long winded post but this has been wighing on me for awhile and I don't want the car to leave me somewhere (which I don't think its going to do just a nagging consern) edit this is my hatch BTW:rolleyes:
  20. ya, I'd get it too if I could find a EA-81T for $350, I'd have it in a heart beat. but I think it would be cool to have a turbo hatch(even if you don't have a hatch but I do and thats why I would get it)
  21. I think thats a good idea it would be nice to look in one place for the info on this
