they're the same. FT4WD and locking center diff, RX tranny was a D/R one.

on my 86 RX, it flashes the check engine light. pull the codes and geta code 12, check FSM, doesn't list one. WJM says see if the connectors are still plugged in, check them and they aren't. it doesn't run bad, but it doesn't really seem to run right either. has an accel coil, 8mm sparkplug wires. anybody have any ideas?

I don't feel that at all, but hell I don't really like the car that much. so it could just be that.

Compression 60, 60, 100, 100 (1,3,2,4) Whats wrong?
JWX replied to Subarutex's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I really think its the safc interupting voltage to the ecu, making it confused. the low comp numbers are prolly all the fuel washing out the ring sealing, or the CUHGs. -

well how well does it run? kinda rough? think the problem could be the safc? maybe its messing with the signal from a sensor? I really don't think its the cams, but it could be. -
the only ones I know of is dale teauge/boxer4racing.com you might try them and see who he recamends. he has forgotten more stuff about old school cars than I know.

I just asked if it was broke in, I don't care who you listen to/how you do it. I'm starting to wonder if its not the CUHGs. but i'd hate for you to take it apart agian to do teh head gaskets. -

well I was thinking if he never got it broken in, and he was running rich, he might not have good sealing of the rings. -

let me get some known good gas in it, with some clean injectors, and when it isn't throwing oil all over the dyno area. we'll take it to 8 -

I hope thats sarcasim, especially with your "forum title" but ya I'd check leak down. maybe put some dye in it to see where its going. oh make sure the engine is turning fast enough. I just got to thinking, did you ever break this engine in?
