  1. Yeah if i do it I'm gonna do the swap right. I'll try not too cheap out on anything (especially brakes:eek:) and buy the OEM stuff.

  4. its my daily driver i just was wondering if the extra power/weight would be to much for my brakes because my buddy did a VR6 swap in his GTI and had to get bigger brakes.
  5. The EA engine in my old Loyale seems to be in need of a rebuild and doesnt like turning 27 in tires. im thinkin about doing an EJ swap and have been pricing it out. I was wonderin if i will need rear disc conversion in my loyale to be able to stop with the heavier motor:eek:
  6. yes, they will. 6-lug conversions are to 6x5.5 (standard) or 6X140 (metric)
  7. anyone in bellingham area find an ethanol free gas station? been looking around and no sure if it will say the gas is ethanol free at the pump if you have to ask or what?
  8. Front or rear? Front blocks need to be at a 15* angle pushing the strut inwards towards the engine. rear straps need to be at a 45* angle - dropping the crossmembers about an inch is a good idea too if you dont want your axles to start spewin out grease

  12. put a hole in my radiator last night from a little front end impact someone in my town has a gl radiator for sale on craigslist and i was wondering if theres any differences. my loyale is 1990 non-turbo.

  15. hmm i really hope thats not it, it doesnt really vibrate, just makes a griding noise when its in gear past 5 mph or i accelerate. sounds like its rubbing against something but i checked and everything it seems to be fine, even though the axles real close to where the parking brake cable attaches to the lower control arm
  16. put one of those 2 inch block lifts in my 90 loyale and theres a pretty gnarly grinding noise when i accelerate or get past 5 mph that sounds like the axles but they are only 2 months old. what im wondering is that the 2 inch lift is putting too much stress on the axles w/o dropping anything? it looks like people get away with it all the time but somethin up there doesnt sound too good.:-\
  17. Did you do anything other than put in the blocks and rear Straps? because i just did a 2" block lift in a 90 loyale but theres a grinding noise sounds like cvs gone bad but their only like 2 months old..........
  18. How did u get the lower control arm back on?!? got my block lifts in but cant get it back on
  19. yeah it eventually unlocked after i drove like 40 miles moved & rewired button and the switch seems to work a little better now.
  20. nvm but anyone know how the hell you bend 3/8" steel?
  21. can you do the torsion bar in an e82? got the front blocks made but dont have any idea how to bend 3/8 steel at a 45* angle
  22. Can these or something similar be made with 3X2 inch tubing, i have some layin around and have 2x2" also but 3 would be better
