  6. looking for advice notice my image, i have filed the mating surface quite a bit, and am worried about leaks in the future if it corrodes more also the throttle body area hose connector is no good what would you do, replace the mafifold or run form a gasket on the surfaces and hope that tube never rusts off?
  7. you are saying addng more cams adds power? why? i think you would have better result sending the cams to delta instead.
  8. i think the last 6 numbers are your cars unique serial number, at least on newer cars that is.
  9. what a huge diffrence! part of the reason is i found a rats nest in the intake box. but anyway without the silencer the hesitation i had before is gone. it sounds like a honda now though

  14. no offense but it sounds like a recipe for runner up next to the 1.6 diesel rabbit as about so slow as to be unsafe.
  15. so i bought a engine that needs new headgaskets what are some must do things for this engine? are delta cams a good idea? im going with gapless rings, they work great in my ea82, no regrets there. i also took off about .050 my heads, whats a good number for the ej22? since it has bad headgasket oil could have been contaminated so i will go with new rod and crank bearings, is any brand preferred? also i have the er27 exhaust on my car, it should be good enough for this engine right? its a lot better than stock is.
