91 loyale with AC. I don't have power with red yellow wire mentioned above. I checked the fuses and fusable link.Installed a new relay and blower motor runs fine just doesn't shut off with the key in the off position. Any ideas on what to check on the red yellow wire?

Moving to the end of the build and I have a question. Since my Loyale is now a fwd MT , does the exhaust bracket for the mid exhaust pipe attach the to rear end of the mt transmission near the shift linkage, using Subaru bracket 44121D No.5? Thanks! Does anyone where I can get one? I have looked everywhere and I can’t find one.

1993 Loyale 3AT - What do I need to know
Moto7man replied to tylertrend's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I am just finishing a preventive/other rebuild on my 91. The seals on the carrier bearing assemblies will need to be replaced when they start leaking. The 3AT is a terrible transmission, high rpms at highway speed that hurts mpg, and the governor gear gets apple cored and then you have to pull the whole transmission to replace it. I just put an MT in mine. Also, the rear main seal will probably have a leak, which is more likely to happen on a 3AT. -
The steering column wasn’t too hard to remove and reinstall but it takes time. I need these console parts if anyone has them. I had found them with one person on another board but now he won’t respond to my massages. I need the cubby/console and plastic square cover that the shift boot fits into. That would be top right cubby and right below, the squarish plastic cover with the hole with the shifter hole.

It’s 80672740 which has been superseded 806727170 and the other side which is 806727180. Each side is a different part number. https://parts.darrellwaltripsubaru.com/a/Subaru__Loyale/__6023456/DIFFERENTIAL-TRANSMISSION-MT/A11-190-A1.html

Ok, so it is essentially, mark the original position, count the revolutions to remove exactly and reinstall at exactly the same revolutions and to the original marked position. It basically is setting the backlash to the original factory assembly point, correct. The trans has been sitting in my heated garage on a shelf for 6 years.

I pulled the differential off yesterday. It was fairly straight forward. I removed the governor assembly, the sun disks, the bearings, drive gears, everything pulled out of the case without a problem, then I split the differential case from the rear of the transmission. Now for the bad news, the reverse side of the differential case wasn’t in bad shape, but some bearings from the destroyed pinion bearing had damaged the upper shaft gear and housing. Also, the the entire back side of the differential housing was full of fine metal debris. Also, due to lack of lubrication, the governor was begging to apple core a little bit The transmission section was like new and damage and debris free. The transmission has always run perfect and it is looks new inside. I bought a 5MT five years ago with a flywheel and clutch kit and shifter, so I am going to install go the mt route. I need a mt manual transmission crossmember with the longer bolts if anyone has one. If anyone needs this 3AT,just pm me, it works fine, it just needs a differential.
