  1. 91 loyale with AC. I don't have power with red yellow wire mentioned above. I checked the fuses and fusable link.Installed a new relay and blower motor runs fine just doesn't shut off with the key in the off position. Any ideas on what to check on the red yellow wire?
  2. Moving to the end of the build and I have a question. Since my Loyale is now a fwd MT , does the exhaust bracket for the mid exhaust pipe attach the to rear end of the mt transmission near the shift linkage, using Subaru bracket 44121D No.5? Thanks! Does anyone where I can get one? I have looked everywhere and I can’t find one.

  5. That is what I thought. I am going to check them tomorrow. I am just going through a final once over to make sure everything is ok. I think they are probably fine.
  6. Original parts for console have arrived. I have an issue on my 5MT 2WD transmission. Can the stub axles on both sides of the transmission be pulled out? Are they held in with a expandable snap ring or do I have to split the transmission to replace them? see attached screen capture, part #8.
  7. I am just finishing a preventive/other rebuild on my 91. The seals on the carrier bearing assemblies will need to be replaced when they start leaking. The 3AT is a terrible transmission, high rpms at highway speed that hurts mpg, and the governor gear gets apple cored and then you have to pull the whole transmission to replace it. I just put an MT in mine. Also, the rear main seal will probably have a leak, which is more likely to happen on a 3AT.
  8. I got back in touch with my original seller on the console. I will post an update when the parts arrive.
  9. The steering column wasn’t too hard to remove and reinstall but it takes time. I need these console parts if anyone has them. I had found them with one person on another board but now he won’t respond to my massages. I need the cubby/console and plastic square cover that the shift boot fits into. That would be top right cubby and right below, the squarish plastic cover with the hole with the shifter hole.
  10. Moving along with the build. I installed the pedal box, the clutch cable and longer MT speedometer Rear main seal, flywheel, clutch friction disc and pressure plate with 2wd specific alignment tool installed and torque to Subaru specs.
  11. Thanks Bennie, 806727170 and 806727180 https://parts.darrellwaltripsubaru.com/a/Subaru__Loyale/__6023456/DIFFERENTIAL-TRANSMISSION-MT/A11-190-A1.html
  12. It’s 80672740 which has been superseded 806727170 and the other side which is 806727180. Each side is a different part number. https://parts.darrellwaltripsubaru.com/a/Subaru__Loyale/__6023456/DIFFERENTIAL-TRANSMISSION-MT/A11-190-A1.html
  13. Does anyone have the part numbers for each seal and each oring? My Subaru has to have the part number to order them.
  14. I marked the positions on both sides and I should have the orings and seals in the next week.
  15. Ok, so it is essentially, mark the original position, count the revolutions to remove exactly and reinstall at exactly the same revolutions and to the original marked position. It basically is setting the backlash to the original factory assembly point, correct. The trans has been sitting in my heated garage on a shelf for 6 years.
  16. Is the rear electrical connector for the reverse light? Is the other connector for the dash or clutch interrupter? The oring and seal behind the bearing retainer looks good, no leaks anywhere, would it be a good idea to replace the oring and seal anyway?
  17. I have my 5MT about ready to go in fwd Loyale. But I need a transmission cross member.Anybody got one?
  18. I need a transmission crossmember to mount up my FWD 5MT, does anybody have one?
  19. I pulled the differential off yesterday. It was fairly straight forward. I removed the governor assembly, the sun disks, the bearings, drive gears, everything pulled out of the case without a problem, then I split the differential case from the rear of the transmission. Now for the bad news, the reverse side of the differential case wasn’t in bad shape, but some bearings from the destroyed pinion bearing had damaged the upper shaft gear and housing. Also, the the entire back side of the differential housing was full of fine metal debris. Also, due to lack of lubrication, the governor was begging to apple core a little bit The transmission section was like new and damage and debris free. The transmission has always run perfect and it is looks new inside. I bought a 5MT five years ago with a flywheel and clutch kit and shifter, so I am going to install go the mt route. I need a mt manual transmission crossmember with the longer bolts if anyone has one. If anyone needs this 3AT,just pm me, it works fine, it just needs a differential.
  20. Thanks! I think the axle stub seals were leaking on mine as well. I will pull out the oil pump shaft and the governor and the speedo gear and go from there.
