  1. Let me give you a little tip, cylinder head gaskets rarely blow. They just leak until the owner unbolts the camshaft covers and retightens the cylinder head bolts with some 3/8"x 17mm sockets. Takes about 2 hours per side. The cylinder head bolts loosen on their own. You get a long rachet to put as much torque into the bolts as you can. Then you have a running car again. Or you can take it to an experienced subaru mechanic and tell him what I am telling you. It would be a shame to allow that vehicle to be parted out, which I doubt that anybody would do. They really want to do exactly as I described and then sell it for a nice profit.
