Yeah I know when I get a little more money I'm going to order them, and do a combo lift on my forester. I'm going to shoot for 4" of lift. It mite help to call them and see if there really in stock.

http://www.subaruforester.org/vbulletin/f70/ironman-4x4-35mm-lift-springs-first-impressions-97275/ It's for a pair. Not dissing kings, I've heard they're good. But to much $$ for me, for possibly the same thing.

http://www.ironman4x4.com/html/coil_springs.html This is one of the places that sells them. I'm working on getting them at GD's (rick) SSI new shop. http://www.camel4x4.com/category/SPRINGS.html

Personally, if you way lift... Go with iron man springs or kind spring. They'll both give you about 1.5" of lift AND are stiffer and won't sag like stock. Kings are about 460$ a set and iron man are a little over 200$. From what I've read there both the same, and the only diffrence is the cost. And availability. Possibly what drives the cost down for iron man. -Prwa

Anything can be done, depends how modivated you are on this project. Wireng wont be fun... If you good with cars and habe merged harness before you could do it, but will still take lots of time. And jdm to us standard will be much harder. Suggestion though, don't waste your time with the EJ25d. You'll end up blowing head gaskets one after another.

Lift it up, put blocks under the tires till you think you can get it out. Or use a lift and tranny jack haha

Nice! That's what I thought, Crazy small world! I live off colmen which is pretty close to cherry ville. Small world man!

I thought kind springs have 2" of lift? Man I gotta get mine lifted up so we can hit trails on Mt. Hood. I'm just a skip away in Sandy. Awesome ride though! How much diff clearance do you have? Prwa

Mock up in solid works, Subaru R160 Locker
Prwa101 replied to Prwa101's topic in Subaru Retrofitting
If your talking about the same thing I'm thinking about no. Detroit locker, powertrax, spartan and so on all come with new parts to replace your exsisting gears in your diff, all new parts. -
Mock up in solid works, Subaru R160 Locker
Prwa101 replied to Prwa101's topic in Subaru Retrofitting
Well, i was sitting in work a week ago thinking about the locker agin... and i came up with a new design utilizing the existing outer gear in the r160 diff (so i don't have to cut splines nor pay out the Yingyang to have them cut.) just cut it down to size and spec. Still in prelim design stage, but its looking like this will be more possible than the other one, due to the spline cutting and cost issue.. Just thought id give you guys some hope! happy wheeling PRWA -
There's a PDF write says almost everything. Pm me with your email and I can send it to you.

Mock up in solid works, Subaru R160 Locker
Prwa101 replied to Prwa101's topic in Subaru Retrofitting
Been busy working, going to school, moving, and getting married... Haven't done much... Not enough funds and equipment.... Other than finding out that cutting the splines are going to cost to much time and money. So I'm trying to find out a way to use the outer section and make the inter around the exhausting outer. -Prwa -
What kind of sub? I'm running 235/75/15 with a 4" lift on mine. Rubed a little till I cut the corners a little. I'd say with a 4" on the old gl,loyales no rub would be about 27" tires. Your going to need to figure out your rim issue though. They don't make those sizes in 13s. As far as mpg goes with those old EA's it'll be going down after that large of tire is put on. Unless you EJ it.

What do you mean the transmission is going out? Slipping? Could be just the clutch pack and duty c needs replaced/serviced -Prwa
