what kinda of Sub did these come off of? ill see if i can find one at upullit. Then draw it up and print some. If theirs enough people wanting these, id would be worth it for me to make them. Let me know if you guys are interested. _prwa -
Might have to take you up on that, got her back togeather after a long struggle with stripped threads In the sprocket hole, but managed to sink a longer bolt into it and got it to hold good. Fired her up, I can still hear a faint ticking, it seems to be intermediate. So I'm going to run it till it dies. Mangers to get a pin hole in my rad so I'll be fixing that when my dad gets home to help me solder it up. It's been a long day...

What kind of plastic is that?? Im starting my own company for custom things like this, Parts ext. I have accesses to a 3d pvc printer and could draw this and print a working model out. (not sure how long it will last due to unknown knowledge of the part) http://aaengineerings.webs.com/ -Prwa AAE -
Just thought I'd add some input and xp. I know on my ej'd gl when the Maf went out it would start up fine and run for a little bit then die hard. And if I gave it any gas it would die hard. Try I'm pluging the Maf sensor it should run better. My other guess would be the fuel mixture. Carb, pump? Hope this helps good luck -Prwa

Yeah that where I'm headed after I get my brother from class. I'm shooting for grade 8, if they have better ill get that. I know ace has metric because I got some other bolts for Something a whole back. Thanks guys! I'll prolly be working on it in the dark tonight.... The luxury of not having a shop

Best advice a person can give you right now, is when your going to buy a car from a person. HAVE CASH UP FRONT! Cash money talks:) they can't say no after you've already payed and have the title. Never put cash down... Unless you have the title! That's a scam waiting to happen... As for him backing out, nothin you can do. Just means he's an ***hole and can't stick to his word, which prolly means he may have lied about the condition of the car? I don't know. There's always a better car out there, always go into a buy with that mind set. Good luck guy! -Prwa

Depending on what's bad on your motor you might beable to fix it. You'll lose power and you'll have to swap the Ecu and other stuff. Soo it may be Easyer to just swap a ej22 into it. Good amount of power! Can be a little Spendy though it depends how much you do your self lol. Good luck guy -Prwa

Well I got it home... Drove it 10. Miles to get outa town and had my brother tow me home... Going to call around and see how much for a 2.5... Going to be a fun week... In the mean while class.. And making sure it's not a idler pully sqweeking Lol. As for rebuilding don't have the time right now, but I have the tools. My grandfather was a mechanic for years and I have my own set I use. Prolly going to go with getting an engine in there ASAP and rebuilding this one for later... Are the ej22 obd2 plug and go?
-
Good to know, it would be me rebuilding it. I don't have the money to pay someone else to. And I've don't almost everything on this engine other than a rebuild. I've got a book... I got it half way home, sqweeking and am goin to have my brother Tow me the rest... Just needed to get outa portland... When I get it home I'll check the cost for rebuilding it compaired to a new used engine... I know I can get a 2.2 obd2 at the yard for 450 it only had 69k on it, it was a little mangled from a wreak but engine looked in tackyt...

Need to know what's good on, it's not running cery rough but i can tell in a small rpm change a really high pitch continious scweek noice sounds like a cyl wall in and out.... And it's knocking now.... Sounded and sent like SOMTHING broke or snapped. It started while I was driving.... There almost 240k on it... Any ideas?

OH yeah!! when i bought the car it came with a bi mart 84 battery, and it was still under warranty for another 3 years so they pro rated the battery and so i got a brand new one for 45$ instead of 80$ and then talked them into giving me the warranty from today ON instead of for another 3 years!! :headbang::headbang: Now time to work out the oil pressure gauge! -

The ej wire I have Hooked up to the temp gage right now is red and green... That's the wire that says "to temp gage" or is that the wrong wire for that...? -
So from what I've understood is if I take the ej temp gage wire and hook it onto the ea temp gage wire pin 13. It should just read really low right above the c?.... It's reading all the way up above the red and above... Unhook the wire and it'll drop, hook it back up and it'll climb... Can't figure it out, I got sole 270 resistors to do it that way but its not even working.... It's an 88 gl ea82t if that makes a diffeence? Or was ok sappose to cut the wire going to the Ecu from the temp gage?... I'm pretty lost.... I know I'm missing Something..... Any thing would help me out... My fiancés loyale has the tick of death and I don't know how much longer its going to last, so I need this one compleat so I can drive it and give her my forester....
