  2. well i hope this is the right o ring W0133-1642538. napa wants 26$ for the HG's so that not so bad
  3. Yeah it still runs fine! Just hard start in the morning after sitting for a while, along with a weird idel too. (not normal) I didn't drive it enough to see if I ideld weird when it was warm though, just at a cold start. So it'd prolly be a good idea to change the HG ASAP? Yeah I though so about the bolts, just double checking, because I know some car you have to change them out after a HG job. Yup got two of those Haynes books! pretty good stuff.
  4. it got pretty darn hot, a couple times... enough for the engine to shut off when she was driving it on the hwy. yeah i will read up on it, cheaper the better.. that why ill be doing it myself. it has about 220k on it, so we'll see when i get her open if i have to do anymore that just the HG. my buddy swears by some stuff called hylomar? its the stuff that NASCAR drivers use on there cars. he never had a problem with it and he runs it in all his rigs. will i need to change out the head bolts and nuts? this will be my first head job, other than seeing my buddy do his on his catty/Ferraro. thanks
  5. And yeah Iff there warped at all I get the resurfaced. I dont want to have to do anything over agin. Haha I have an iPhone, I know how you feel! Thanks man!
  6. yeah we had taken it on a long trip up the river and had to actully leave it up there and get a new radiator for it because it was heating up so bad. on top of her heating it up to where itd die a week before without me knowing... thanks guys! looks like next weeked is going to be a long one...
  7. i have a creamy foam under the oil cap and down the oil tube, loss of water over time in the radiator, and notice a milkyness to the oil. starting rough when cold. is this a head gasket? its my woman's car, and shes gotten it pretty hot a couple times this last summer. just need a second opinion. should i change both gaskets while im at it? easyest to change with the motor in out out? thanks!
  8. Damn thous are a pain in the butt to get on! now for the other side. the diff in in the ground!
  9. It's still going! Haha. Moneys short so it's taking me a little longer. School=money pit. Haha. Heres my thread, http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=127240&highlight=Prwa
  10. Well felt a little crazy after getting home from class, so I desided to change the o2 sensor in the dark with the light from my phone haha. She runs like a top now! Way more power! Thanks guys for the help! Prwa
  11. Good point, but I only have one 4lug Subaru, and one set of steel yoter rims. And don't have time to pull the drums and hubs off to drill them. Maybe down the road I'll swap it completely depending on $$. I need to save for up an ej addaptor plate now. Thanks guys!
  12. Ya I had already pulled off one hub to start the 6lug swap, so I got 2studs already out for that. but Fd upp the studs and it was to much of a pain just to get the studs out. So that's why I thought of just drilling the rims intakes. So I'll just got to the junk yard to get a used hub, so I don't have to buy studs and put them in. Prwa
  13. Very good points! Thanks! Yeah it going on a wheeler, I don't care how it look and drilling hubs I've heard from my buddy can be a pain. And drilling the wheels can make it so thy fit on any older Subaru too. Thanks! Prwa.
  14. Well I've seen people do both, and wondering which one is easiest? Pros and cons of each? I've got my 6 lug rims, for my 88 Gl,just seeing who's doing what. Thanks! Prwa.
  15. its possible to do the swap, i talked to my buddy for hours about it, and the hardest thing we came to was the, Jap to German line up with the motor and the tranny/inerds. but if your going to want a diesel and its for 4x4ing have my buddy build you diesel suzuki, great MPG, can fit in tight spots, and over all a solid reliable machine. heres his web page, http://www.acmeadapters.com/index.php he has his rigs running all over he U.S. great guy too! -Prwa
  16. Well just got the two parts in the mail from Rockauto! O2 is the right plug/clip one as they said, it's a BOSCH product if anyone wants to know for future reference. And the tenstioner, all of which cost me a good 146$ but worth it, saved a good hunderd or so by using Rockauto. Now once the rain lets up for a bit, I'll change the o2 am the tensioner.... But that could be a while seeing as its Oregon... Haha. -Prwa
  17. well got my 3" crossmember spacers in and painted (did that after the photo was taked) , just didnt have time to put it up, got those in and the tranny mounts spacers, (forgot to take a photo of those) lol and now working on the back lift, got my 4" rear strut lift from poobaru for 25$ thanks man! not bad for garage junk haha and just orderd the rear diff drop from sjr! thanks for having an awesome business! more coming soon!
  18. 103 for the tenstioner, and it's like 49 or 50 for the o2 and it has the same plug as I got in there now! I haven't gon wrong with Rockauto yet, always good parts for the best price. I've used them, or another one for a key way that I couldn't find anywhere else.
  19. Yeah thanks! It's already not getting very good mpg.. Maybe 21. And the CEL has been on since I can remember, running codes about the o2. (Previous posts shows them.) Rockauto has the o2 and tenstoner for pretty good price. Napa wanted 185 for the same one I can get on there for 103. Thanks guys for you help! This truly is the best site on the web! -Prwa
  20. Okay! I drove the same amout each time, First time, I mistakes the rear o2 for the front, so ran it like that, still bucked. Second time, actually got the right one and unplugged the front o2, didn't miss a lick!! Haha. What now? Need a new o2? And can I run it like that till I get a new one?
  21. Well changed the plugs, and air filter. But still does it just not as bad, now I have like 500 more rpms I can drive in with out it bucking. If I unplug the o2 sensor would that tell me if it's ba if it changes the running status of the car?
