  1. Check out chart in center of this web page: http://www.offroaders.com/technical/12-volt-wiring-tech-gauge-to-amps/ and https://www.wirebarn.com/Wire-Calculator-_ep_41.html It is apparent that load wattage determines wire size at low voltages. P=I x E = E/R = I x I x R. P = power in watts, E = volts, I current in amps, R = resistance in ohms. Also, E = I x R to determine resistance, knowing other two values.
  2. House hunting in Montana already...............done with Commiefornia!
  3. Injector charts for future reference, YMMV. http://www.carburetion.com/pdfs/injectors_tbi.pdf
  4. Looks more like a 84-86 2.5L Pontiac Fiero TBI unit: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1984-1986-PONTIAC-FIERO-TBI-THROTTLE-BODY-ASSEMBLY-2-5L-4CYL-1985-84-85-86-OEM-/142480255948?hash=item212c7c2bcc:g:oRUAAOSwxh1Zl6ch&vxp=mtr Throttle position switch(TPS) looks to have been changed to a V6 or V8 one. Pontiac Fiero injector on RA: https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/pontiac,1985,fiero,2.5l+151cid+l4,1249039,fuel+&+air,fuel+injector,6224 That black cube on top of the TBI to right of bore looks like a relay that isn't part of the the TBI. Like its just sitting there unmounted.
  5. Also looks a lot like a single barrel GM TBI from a 2.5L 4 banger. Something from a 'bout 1988. Or 4 cyl Chevy S10 truck perhaps? Not from an ordinary 88-91 Chevy truck as those would be 2 BBL TBI bodies for both 6 cyl & V8. Rochester model # is on vertical surface next to throttle linkage on TBIs. GearheadEFI forum might be able to help. Can't tell you much more than that.
  6. BK precision 2707B multimeter: http://www.ebay.com/itm/B-K-PRECISION-2707B-Digital-Multimeter-1000V-10A-/332207333919?epid=1217974952&hash=item4d5919a21f:g:I4oAAOSw~y9ZC-X3 I have the older model 2707A & it has always done me well for electrical & electronics.
  7. In addition to the Eastwood tool, I have that same Imperial Brass double flaring set. I've had that Imperial set for years as well as Imperial Eastman ones for larger single flares in 45* & 37* AN. Very necessary for industrial maintenance. I use a fine mill file to square the tube end while tube is clamped, release the tube, deburr the end & then reinstall tubing for flaring. And a drop of 3-in-1 oil to prevent galling.

  9. 2 10-32 screws hold shield on from bottom of cross member. Shield is just galvanized sheet metal.
  10. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/164052-ea82-timing-belt-tension-tool/
  11. Cheap to make timing belt tool for EA82s. 3 1/2 inch disc of 3/16 steel with 3/8" drive socket welded to center on one side & 4 short 5/16" hex heads bolts welded to other side.
  12. I have some NewInBox outer CVJs that might be correct for your EA81 axles. These are German made Lobro complete with boot kits. 22 spline inner races. Contact me if interested. Anyone?
  13. Be sure to put 2 step bends in that heat shield so air can circulate between it & the cat converter. Like a lazy Z shape. I attached mine to the cross member with 2 machine screws at the rear edge above the cat.
  14. Ahhh....you mean the Abominable Snowman.......that was a Looney Tune. Google Tex Avery cartoon/I think I'll name him George.
  15. Hmmm, must be a Tex Avery fan or have read Of Mice and Men. "I think I'll name him George. :D" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Of_Mice_and_Men_in_popular_culture
  16. These work well for locking lug nuts & damaged acorn lug nuts: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lug-Nut-Remover-Wheel-Lock-Removal-Kit-3pc-CTA-A157-/400314048540?epid=660342566&hash=item5d3493a01c:g:tnEAAOSwPe1UF7L- I've used them at local PNP when the vehicle prep guys miss a spot. This tool for its compactness: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Torin-Jacks-Extendable-Lug-Wrench/14560053?wmlspartner=wlpa&adid=22222222227009474690&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=40839137672&wl4=pla-89278556345&wl5=9031106&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=8175035&wl11=online&wl12=14560053&wl13=&veh=sem
  17. +1 You should have at least 1 inch free play at top of pedal travel.
  18. All can be done is point you to this thread - http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/145258-need-help-swap-analog-to-digital-dash/ There may be more threads so change your search terms to find them. Edit: Scanned GL electrical digidash & fuel sender pages in 87 FSM See attached files87 GL fuel gauge.pdfInspection 2.pdf
  19. You haven't seen the chaos Photobucket has caused in most auto forums yet? They've managed to piss off a nation of auto enthusiasts with their antics. Keep searching USMB - you'll find some pics & threads for a 79 Brat.
  20. Depends on what year Brat & what tire size. Look at some of these then do a search for a Brat like yours with a 2" lift....... http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/113949-lift-and-tire-size-combo-pics/
  21. Yeah very nice work there. Hope you saved the old digidash threads for future reference. My Photosuckit acct with some of the digidash pics could be closing.
  22. Those look like old Centerline wheels. I'm running early 90s Nissan Pathfinder wheels on my GL wagon with 4" lift. Offset is just right to clear the fender lips.
  23. I have had an Eastern Catalytic converter come apart leaving the 'biscuit' to rattle around inside the can. Never had a Walker nor Magnaflow do that, but the substrates just don't last very long - some shorter than the 2 yr period between mandatory smog testing here in Commiefornia. Check online at Amazon too - saw some kidney shaped cats with all flanges etc as high as $400 there. Happy hunting!
  24. https://www.magnaflow.com/catalytic-converters/catalytic-converters/california/products flanges can be found at Bear River Converters http://www.bearriverconverters.com/ 2 inch repair flanges http://www.ebay.com/itm/FX8051-2-ID-Universal-QuickFix-Exhaust-Spring-Bolt-Flange-Repair-Pipe-Kit-/171101565202 I'm sure someone here will object to aftermarket cats & come up with genuine Subaru part source. Edit: Sure enough GD couldn't resist the bait..................................
  25. Thanks Torry. Given that Photosuckit has sent me a ransom email, we'll see how much longer my pics display now. No one likes being extorted! EDIT: Photosuckers has seen fit to close my account due to Facebookers abusing a public folder. Thanks ginks!
